One way this occurs is if a person really likes a song that they take interest in the artist or musician. Another way to tell if a person is a shareholder of the music is by singing it. Another is by playing it with any instrument, acoustic, electric, computerized. Another is by moving to it in any capacity: with your feet, with your head, with your entire body. What's more, another is by attempting to claim every last bit of it, on chronicles. Ratliff says " Music deserves respect for coming out of authentic human emotions: anxiety, sentimentality, infatuation, identification." I agree with Ratliff when he is explaining this musical element. Music does get people attached because of many different aspects like the singers voice or just even the beat to a song can touch someone in a way. Ratliff closes the chapter saying "If you are looking at one small part of it — if you favor a particular song — you are missing the point. The point is a larger array of music than the eye can see on the shelf, than the ear can take in within one cycle of memory. It doesn't reduce to a song or an album. It’ s a relationship." Different types of music gives off a different vibe that the person can vibe or relate to. The main artist that I feel to have a relationship speaking musical is Martin Garrix. There is something about his music that is just greatness in my ears. He is a DJ so he does a lot beats and mixes beats with vocals to create amazing music. When I hear his music, it makes me want to dance, sing along, and overall puts me in a better mood. It is incredible how just listening to music can change my mood. One example from Ratliff playlist is "Lil Wayne- Mrs. Officer." This song exemplifies this musical concept because of the beat of the song. It a song that gives off a chill vibe and is calm. An example that I think exemplifies this musical concept is "Martin Garrix- In the Name of Love." This song has amazing vocals from Bebe Rexha, while also incorporating Martin Garrix's musical talents of creating the musical part.
