There is no cure for this disease but it can be treated with medications. People who are infected with alzheimer's can become very violent verbally and physically. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that Parkinson's disease is a disease that alters movement, which includes tremors. Parkinson's is not curable, but is treatable with medicines such as Dopamine Agonists. The symptoms of this disease like the tremors, and stiffness of limbs will continue and worsen over time. Postural instability and Bradykinesia which mean slowness of movement, are also symptoms of it.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Antidepressants can be taken and sometimes they help but sometimes they don't. Depression can lead to extremely sadness and even suicide. Some people who suffer from depression tend to resort to drinking and doing drugs to help release their stress and sadness. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned there are two types of narcolepsy: narcolepsy with cataplexy &amp; narcolepsy without cataplexy. Cataplexy is when a person has vivid dreams and upon waking up, they are temporarily paralyzed. This can be caused by a sudden peak of emotions. Also, the lack of the neurotransmitter hypocretin is associated with narcolepsy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that 1% of the US population develop schizophrenia.  This seems like small percentage, but out of the entire United States, it is about 2.2 million.  This disorder is not curable, but by consistently taking their medicine, people with this disorder can live an almost normal life.</div>]]></description>
