When I first heard media and information literacy and also when I first meet the teacher who will going to teach me about this subject my expectations and insights that will come up to my mind is that I could learn what is media and information literacy and its differences,describes how communication is affected by media and information, and editorializes the value of being a media and information literate individual. I hope this subject will going to be fun,interesting, challenging and not boring. And I am also hoping that my teacher will be generous as she can be with regards to the percentage of my grades and provide me with the opportunity to learn and understand the concepts in this subject media and information literacy in a way that I can understand and give adequate feedback on my abilities, in order that I can apply this knowledge and achieve my goal. :)

The Media Information and Literacy itself says that this is linked in internet and it will give us more knowledge regarding the new technologies. In my own opinion, it will empower us students to access, understand, evaluate, use, create, as well as share information using various tools in ethical and effective way in order to engage in social activities. I am looking forward to the lessons and activities that will broaden my mind regarding this subject. I need to develop my ability in order for me to engage in media and information since I know that time will come, it will be difficult to me. I expect that this subject would be fun for us and let us experience unforgettable moments. I really an looking forward to the new things I will learn from this subject, especially that it is about media since we, teenagers are more engaged in the media/internet world.

It is an important tool for fostering equitable access to information and knowledge and promoting free, independent and pluralistic media and information systems. It recognizes the primary role of information and media in our everyday lives. It lies at the core of freedom of expression and information, since it empowers citizens to understand the functions of media and other information providers, to critically evaluate their content, and to make informed decisions as users and producer of information and media content. I haven’t heard about the subject Media Information Literacy before, but upon reading the subject name itself I can conclude that it’s all about media and technology. I guess it will give us information about the right usage of media in our daily lives and will let us discover new things about the technology that we have right now. I expect that I will learn new great things that can surely be applied in the near future, will enhance my knowledge about media and will take me to the world of media that I haven’t yet discovered.

Media and Information Literacy? Well as the title says itself that it is Media Information Literacy, I think we will be dealing with technologies. I heard that technology is a big help to the students nowadays. Asking why? We are now in second semester and I have a lot of expectations about our new subjects. When I found out that we will be having Media and Information Literacy as one of our core subjects in the second semester, I suddenly felt nervous yet excited because I am very fond with technology especially when it comes to computers and internet. "Media and Information Literacy," to be honest as I read the name of this particular subject I was totally confused. I think that this subject will be so difficult or not an easy one, which may drag me to be fail. But instead of thinking those negative thoughts, I'll just positively think that this subject might be a great subject that will really broaden my knowledge.

As a social media freak and an obsessed scribe, I felt overflowing excitement upon hearing the words media and information literacy. Images of instagram, twitter, snapchats, science fictional books, and even webpage designing drastically invaded my mind. Though I sooner realized that no subject would actually focus on all the things I just mentioned, well maybe few. I was still ignited, and interested to learn the contents in a unique way of course. I was looking forward on discovering new things or techniques regarding technological inventions and innovations that I can use later on in my research studies. Talking about literacy, I was actually foreseeing an abundance of writing activies to be involved in this subject, something I would love to do. Then in information, I was guessing that it would have a lot of engagement with books and other sources. But since I wrote this only after knowing what the subject is really all about, I must say my expectations were a little bit out of the line. 😂 Anyway I still want to share all of this. In all, I was just simply hoping this subject would be something I can add to my list of favorites.

When I knew all the subjects for the second semester, I really got nervous and scared because there will be new teachers and difficult subjects. But when we started meeting with Mrs. Erma Celia Ignacio, our teacher in Media and Information Literacy, there were happiness and excitement inside me. I said to myself that this class will surely be fun and interesting. With the help of the jolly and friendly teacher, it will not be boring and quiet as cemetery :D. I expect her not to be a terror teacher to us, and to be approachable whenever we have questions or burden from other subjects. A help from burden does not literally mean that she will help us do our projects or assignments, but a simple laugh and joke can help.
As for my insights about this subject, more knowledge about technology will be shared to us by Ma'am Sexy :D. I am also expecting that we, the youth who are more engaged in social media, will be taught on how to use media and how to spread information in a rightful way. I know that there are still more things that we don't know about the three words from the subject itself, but surely our teacher will fill that some knowledge for each of us.

Upon hearing these words, Media and Information Literacy, the first thing that comes into my mind is that it deals with technology. After that, I then told myself,"Gosh. I really need any gadget now that I can use for me to have easier and faster submission of the activities that we'll be having. Anyways, for me media is one way of sharing information to other people near or far, anytime and anywhere. Inversely, information are shared through media and/or social media.
When I saw our class schedule and our subjects, I felt a little bit worried about this subject because I am not good in technology and we don't have gadgets at home. I would have to go to internet cafe for this. And, it would be at night for I am at school every daytime. But when I, together with my classmates, met our teacher, my worry was gone. Bang! Just the word literacy itself made me curious on how does this subject goes. Different questions had been forming on my mind about these three words: media, information, and literacy. And I'm looking forward for the answers that I believe I will hold it as the semester goes on. Excitement continues to rise up as I anticipate on the kind of room environment that will happen on the day of teaching.
By the way, this subject involves the effective use of technology? I do love exploring the world of web. I hope that this will lead me to a journey forming a better dimension of technology --a dimension with responsibility. I'm sincerely hoping that this will turn us with enough capabalities to handle informations with the care on rights.
Also, may all of us develop a kind relationship to help us understand the lessons and the feelings of one another. Our class was formed from different sections and schools, we do laugh together, but we are partly different from each other. I do wish this will develop teamwork and build unity.

Having the subject Media and Information Literacy is a new challenge for me. Since were in a pandemic we all adjust for our new learning environment to be honest it’s not that easy unlike our daily school routines before. As days passed by I’m now slowly adapting our new learning environment though it’s hard but we need to keep going. I really appreciate Sir Rick aside from being approachable and very outgoing. He always find ways to make our tasks easier, understandable and enjoyable.
