Estates General Meeting

Jacques Necker

The estates general should not be held. It is unfair to the 3rd estate. They as a people have been punished too much. They are broke and cannot pay more. Nothing will happen nor can anything happen. I tried to communicate this to the King, but he dismissed it. He is out of his wits. They will argue forever, and the country will plunge evermore into debt. Though I warned him he has fired me for being, "Too sympathetic for the Third Estate", while truthfully it is hard not to.

Tennis Court Oath

Comte Emmanuel Joseph Sieyes

The oath is set in place, and the national assembly remains. I wrote the pamphlet, and people responded. Then we started meeting in this tennis court. It feels like something big is around the corner, because the third estate supports the assembly. If we can force a new constitution everything will be better. Maybe we can live instead of suffer. One way or another, the king must go.

Georges Danton

Okay so that did not really go to plan. I thought I could rally them against the mercenaries. Then some I was told that they were not coming. I made the best of it, turning them against the king, but it did not go to plan. Tonight we are victorious in our struggle for freedom. We have taken the Bastille, but this is far from over. A revolution is coming and no one can stop it.

Marquis de Lafayette

I have written it in the image of the American Declaration of Independence. I have named it DOROMAC. It outlines what we need. It will give us rights. If the King does not sign, expect the 3rd estate at his door. No more elevation of the nobility. We will push for equality.

I am the rightful ruler to this kingdom, and the only person who can bring it back to sanity. I will escape from my prison, and from my loosely bound chains return to glory. I will raise an army to combat them, and I will emerge victorious. It is what God wants. And God always gets what he wants. God will help me... Okay off to Austria.

Maximillien Robespierre

I blew it. Everything was in my power, and I blew it. I said there were more antirevolutionaries and there were, but they were worried they were the antirevolutionaries.
As I was arrested I knew I had to end my life or risk torture. I failed at suicide, as the shot got stuck in my jaw. As I am carted to the the guillotine, the crowd screams insults. I reach the blade, and it is quick. I hear a whoosh, and everything goes black.

It is over for the country, and this is their doom. Robespierre brought this upon them. And he will fall as well, as he is not capable of sustaining what he has set up. He will fall as I. He will fall a tyrant.

Though I do not believe what Robespierre is doing is sustainable. At what point do you stop. At what point does it become too much. That is what Robespierre fails to grasp. He is a successful rat, but he will fall, because he has no foresight.
