         <title>Flying Fish </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Flying fish are commonly found in the sunlight zone.</li><li>Flying fish feed on a variety of foods, including plankton.</li><li>The most important physical adaptation of the flying fish is its large pectoral fins. It can swim really fast and then jump out of the water. The flying fish extends its large fins and they act like wings to escape from predators.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Commonly live in the Midnight zone. </li><li>They eat crustaceans, shrimp other fish and snails.</li><li>Some examples of angler fish adaptations would be its color, its ability to release mate attracting pheromones, and its glowing bulb used for catching food. The deep sea anglerfish has adapted in the way of skin color to protect itself from predators as well as to disguise itself while trying to catch prey.</li></ul>]]></description>

A beak, which greatly resembles a parrot's, is sharp and used to bite and grasp prey.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Most commmonly found in the midnight zone. </li><li>Viper fish are known to eat shrimp, squid, hermit crabs, anchovies, mackerel and other little fish. They swim at high speeds toward their prey impaling them with their sharp teeth.</li><li>The photophores along the sides of the body may be used to attract prey and communicate with potential mates or rivals. Viperfish have a very low basalmetabolic rate, which means they can go for days without food. This adaptation is likely a result of the scarce nature of food in the deep sea.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Mostly found in the midnight zone. </li><li>Lantern Fish mostly eat plankton. </li><li>The lanternfish have an adaptation ability to produce light. The light is given off by tiny organs known as photophores. A chemical reaction inside the photophore gives off light in a chemical process known as bioluminescence.</li></ul>]]></description>

This use of bioluminescent light is called "counterillumination," a common adaptation in midwater fishes and cephalopods. </li></ul>]]></description>
