Some countries decide to colonize because they want to grow and claim new land. It can be dangerous and the country doesn't have enough money to send people to new land or don’t have enough people who want to leave to new land where they have to build homes and find new ways to find food and water.

He didn't arrive home until 1810, and reached home sick and a forgotten man.
