When I start creating shots about interactions between characters and the environment, I will draw the basic objects in the scene，like: tables, doors, lamps, and the key props which the characters will use. Then I will draw the characters’ movement paths, which I usually use arrows; in more complex cases, I draw a lot of arrows. Finally, for lighting effects, I highlight the areas where the light will shine. This is the basic process of making a storyboard.

Sometimes, colorscript is not such an essential component. However, when producing independent animations that are driven primarily by mood, a color script can directly convey the emotional changes in a scene. Under more circumstances , it just is a kind of atmosphere painting, used to preview the overall effect of the animation. This is what a color script is.

details, or final

From the first two steps to the final product may seem like a huge leap, but in fact it is not. In animation, the truly meaningful details are not that many. Details come in various forms, such as character movements, the texture of objects, changes in lighting and color, rhythm, and so on. However, since the foundation has already been established in the early stages, there is not much space for free creations in this step. For the animation visuals, once enough details have been added, the animation work is basically complete.
