Looked at another way, only one percent of the water on the Earth’s surface is usable by humans, and 99% of the usable quantity is situated underground.<br>E; We as humans can only drink around 3% of the water on the planet, however only 1% we can actually access and use. This means that a huge amount of water is salt and not drinkable unless processed, which can be extremely expensive.&nbsp;<br>S: The distrubution of water on the Earths surface is extremely uneven, there is far more saltwater than freshwater.</div>]]></description>

Hardly any of the surface water located on earth is actually usable by humans, and most of the usable water is underground.&nbsp;<br>S- In conclusion, the distribution of earth's water is not in our favor and there's nothing that can be done about it for now.</div>]]></description>

Ninety-seven percent of water is saltwater that mostly resides in the ocean, while three percent of the Earth's water is freshwater. This unbalance is to blame for the uneven distribution.<br>C- In the article it states, "The distribution of water on the Earth’s surface is extremely uneven. Only 3% of water on the surface is fresh; the remaining 97% resides in the ocean. Of freshwater, 69% resides in glaciers, 30% underground, and less than 1% is located in lakes, rivers, and swamps."<br>E- To completely understand this uneven distribution of water you would have to look at a rainfall distribution map. Out of the three percent of freshwater located on Earth, only one percent is accessible by humans. Most of the freshwater is located underground and cannot be reached by humans because of this humans have had to find alternate ways to obtain freshwater.<br>S- Earth's water is distributed extremely unequally and most of the freshwater cannot be accessed. &nbsp; &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<h1><em>“How is water distributed on Earth's surface?"</em></h1><div>Answer - Due to the randomness of where water lands, water is distributed unevenly upon Earth's surface. Most of this water becomes saltwater as it falls into the sea while the rest that falls elsewhere is in the minority as freshwater.<br>Citation -&nbsp; "The distribution of water on the Earth’s surface is extremely uneven. Only 3% of water on the surface is fresh; the remaining 97% resides in the ocean. Of freshwater, 69% resides in glaciers, 30% underground, and less than 1% is located in lakes, rivers, and swamps. Looked at another way, only one percent of the water on the Earth’s surface is usable by humans, and 99% of the usable quantity is situated underground."<br>Explanation - Since the sea takes up the majority of the earth, it makes sense that most of the water in the hydrosphere is saltwater with it being 97% of said water. On the other hand, freshwater is split into many sections and categories, which can truly be seen in the graph. Ice caps, glaciers, and groundwater take up 98.8% of the world's fresh water, with the 0.3% leftover being fresh surface water. Even then, this surface water as well is split into lakes, swamps, and rivers, with lakes taking the majority of this space with an 87 percentile of storage.<br>Summary - All in all, the sea takes most of the earth's water for itself, while leaving land with a little bit of freshwater.</div>]]></description>
