When my mom calls me to eat I would always bring my phone with me and watch it while eating. My dad would call me to help him and again, I would bring my phone with me and be on it while trying to help him at the same time.

I thought it was a good idea using my phone instead of paying attention in class. Throughout the day I would be just on my phone not listening to one thing the teachers said to me. I would always make excuses to not unmute. Every day my grades would get worse, while my grades went down my missing work went up. It got to the point where I had  100+ missing assignments. My mom would be very disappointed in me saying its the phones fault for all this, I would lie and just say I was just having trouble understanding because i didnt want it taken away.
