Students are more than their academics. In order to address the needs of generation alpha in regards to: equity, cultural relevance and responsiveness you need to get to know your students. So what can you do?

• Ask questions to learn about your students family, home life, traditions.
• Allow students time to share and discuss their culture.

• Learn to pronounce your student's names!
• Incorporate student culture, race, and tradition into classroom environment and lessons.
