As Beth Fuchs states in her article, technology is the "great equalizer" (p. 8). It gives students time to think, formulate thoughts , and remain anonymous if needed. It will be a great tool for a nonverbal student. It offers all students the opportunity to shine. "Students should share, rather than withhold, their insights". (P. 62)

I have to confess- I never used this in my classes. But, after reading the reviews and all the great ideas on the ways i use it effectively- i will try it. I figured i can use this as an exit ticket. Maybe not the first semester but the second for sure. I think theyll like the change from actual post-its.

Since Padlet is on-line, students can access is from anywhere. This means I can use the Exit -Ticket strategy, but give students until the next day. The benefit is that it provides students a chance for think time. This should encourage even hesitant students because they will have an opportunity to digest the information to form a post they are confident in.

Students can read each others comments and then respond to that students idea on how to create a booklet, poster, google doc. or group research project. Plus the idea to incorporate more technology in the classroom is appealing to most students.
