(Same for drama, and maybe even visual art!) We sometimes see each other at ACDA or WMEA conferences, or even at the NWAIS events, but that was about it. While a few of us have been able to join up with longstanding regional WMEA groups, we are often on a different schedule and thus are not able to consistently participate in those events. For the sake of our kids, and ourselves, we just thought it was time to bring our music into the forefront, meet one another, and make some connections!

  • In 2015, Judy Herrington worked with Lakeside and Overlake middle school choirs for a morning workshop.
  • In 2016, Judy Herrington again worked with Lakeside and Overlake, and we added The Bear Creek School to the workshop day.
    • In May 2017, the first SingFest! concert happened, with one day of workshops for middle school, and another day of workshops for upper schools - Overlake, Lakeside, Bear Creek, and Eastside Prep brought choirs together with Tesfa Wondemagegnehu, and gave an evening concert to culminate all of our work!
