The Inca were able to live up in the mountains with food, shelter, water, and protection from other tribes that could harm them. They used rocks and stones around them too build sturdy houses and buildings. They survived many battles because the other tribes couldn’t find them hidden the mountains, and even if the tribes found them it would take hours many even days to climb the mountain. It also isn’t easy to carry like 500 guns and canyons up a huge mountain in heavy amour.

Some of these may consist of getting over cliffs, making the city not be visible to intruders, building lots of roads, and many more. The challenge when getting over cliffs is that the inca had lots of cliffs near where they lived, in order to build up their empire they had to get over the cliffs somehow, to do this, the Incas made bridges out of rope and wood to get sturdy bridges. To make sure that the Incas did not have any intruders they build the city in the mountains so it would not be visible. The Incas also had to make lots of roads so the people could get around easier.
