So firstly we can listen on to the first song that the singer sings « get your gun get your gun »; indeed he is talking to a soldier and he tries to convince him to go to the war; but we realize that he says at the end of the music « We'll be over, we're coming over And we won't come back till it's over » and even if he convinces the soldier to go to the war, he explains that he is probably going to die, so we understand that this song is ironic, and that it wants to denounce the government which who makes propaganda all the time, maybe it wants to show the ridiculous that the how ridiculous the government is. About the second song, we can listen that it is the same that as the first song , indeed it is an ironic song because at the end the singer says « And the young people ask "What are they marching for?" (you should have deepened your study of this second song...origin? Date of publication...)

And I ask myself the same question. that can show us that the music used during the first world war aims to show ». This sentence wants to show the same thing that as the first song, namely that they don’t told tell them the truth about the real reasons to fight on the front during that war.

So to conclude we can say that the music during the World War One was a way to make a kind of solidarity between soldiers. It also allowed to make propaganda, as we have said, to denounce the government which don’t told did not tell the truth so through the music, we could denounce it making irony to avoid de censorship
