With a smartphone and a stable internet connection, anyone can become a content creator, gaining an audience of millions without the backing of a TV network or a talent management company. This enabled creators from family/friends to travel vlog to earn quite a hefty amount and as audience they help us in relieving stress by just watching their videos for being fun!

With these positive effects comes the bad side as well, including the popular term known as "Crab Mentality" wherein others are jealous and makes a negative attitude towards them. K-Drama and K-pop fever in the Philippines is a real thing, this got the Filipinos and myself hooked up due to its addictive series that captured the hearts of Filipino viewers with their engaging storylines, relatable characters, and of course, romantic themes. Additionally, Korean band groups are making a wave in the country due to their ability to sing, dance, and look very gorgeous in screen which melts people of all gender.

For instance, Valorant for PC and Mobile Legends for smartphones are two popular choices among many online games that Filipinos play.

Lastly, teleseryes also catch my attention since we often watch them with my family whenever I’m at home. While it’s true that the reach of international dramas and pop music has reached a huge number of people in the Philippines, what truly remains ingrained in our culture is the Teleserye. Most Filipino families stay up late at night to watch teleseryes and bond in this way. Additionally, we have P-pop, such as SB 19, which is making waves in the country. Their way of entertaining and approach is similar to the pop music from Korea.

Teleserye's are a testament to the resilience and adaptability of our culture. We embrace the new and the foreign, but we also hold on to what is truly ours. They remind us that no matter how far we reach out to the world, we always have a home in our culture and traditions
