My name is King James I and I was the first Puritan King after the Great Queen Elizabeth. I was the first English King to translate the Bible into English and we called it the King James Bible. I was honored to be part of the founding of Jamestown; a prominent settlement in the newly acquired lands of America.

My name is King Charles I and I was the King after the Puritan King James I. I had struggled with the Parliament over taxation, religion, and governance; which led me to trying to dissolve the governed body multiple times even without their permission. This conflict I had created resulted in the English Civil War in 1642; my forces were called Royalists or Cavaliers and my rival was led by Oliver Cromwell and his forces called the Roundheads.

Oliver Cromwell (1649-1658)

My name is Oliver Cromwell and I was a Puritan Army General and was the military leader rival against King Charles I in the English Civil War; because of my success in the Civil War I was crowned the Lord Protection which I ruled until 1658. While I was the Lord Protector I changed the government of England by abolishing the monarchy and by establishing the Commonwealth. I'm well known for my part in the execution of James I and for ruling England not as a king but as a military dictator instead.

Charles II (1658-1685)

My name is King Charles II and I had a rough time during the time Cromwell ruled over England; while he was ruling I was exiled to France by him because of the threat I posed to the throne as King Charles I's son. When Oliver Cromwell died I returned to England to restore the Monarchy Cromwell abolished; while this happened the time period was called the Restoration. While I had my fair share of problems like the Great Fire of London in 1666 and the resurgence of the Black Plague I still sought out to heal the wound left by the Civil War.
