I can learn from this story that they really wanted to get something nice for their Mum's birthday. When Samantha and Daniel got home I think their Mum was overjoyed to see them because she was so worried about where her kids where. The main issues for Samantha and Daniel are that when they get home they need to explain where they were without giving it away, the main issues for the Mum is to find out where her kids are. The Mother has the right to tell them off. Samantha and Daniel have learnt to tell their Mum where they are going so it doesn't worry their Mum again and their Mum has learnt to always know where her kids are going.

1. I've learned from this story that it is important to tell your guardian where you are going and when you will be back.
2. When they got home, I think their Mum would have been relieved and told them how important it is to say where they are.
3. Daniel and Samantha really wanted to get their Mum a present and were so caught up in what they were doing they forgot to tell their Mum.
4. The main issue for their Mum was she didn't know where her children were, neither did anyone else. She'd have been really worried and scared.
5. There Mum has a right to know where they are going and when to expect them home.
6.The children have a right to buy their Mum a present, but maybe they could have let another adult know.
7. I think they've all learned it's important to know where everyone is, maybe if it means spoiling a surprise.

Mikey

1. I learnt not to do something without permission from my parents and always advise an adult where you are and what time you will be back.

2.They would of been sat down and spoken to, explaining how worried they had made their Mum and to always communicate.

3. They wanted to do something nice for their Mum and to make her happy but it had the opposite effect.

4. The main issues would be that she was very worried and imagining all sorts had happened to her children.

5.She has the right to know where her children are, they are her main concern in life. She has the right to call the police if she was worrying.

6. The children are young and should be asking permission before taking it upon themselves to make decisions that cause their mum to worry. They can think for themselves but clearly need guidance and to understand the implications of their actions.
They were allowed to walk home by themselves which was freedom in itself.

7) I think they have all learnt to communicate more and ensure that they always let somebody know what they had planned.

I think it was really nice and kind for Daniel and Samantha to buy their mother a present, but next time they could tell her where they are going so she won't be worried about them. The main issue was that the mother didn't know where her children were and the people who she called didn't see her children either. The mum had a right of being worried and disappointed of her children because she never knew when they were going to come home. The children have a right to buy their mum a present for her Birthday, but they need to think about leaving the house without permission and make their mum so anxious about where they were.
