One time in my life, a girl named Ariel was talking to me. She tried to tell me something funny but I didn't get it, so she tried again and my voice cracked. She was with all her friends, like ten of her friends. They all were laughing and saying that, that was a cute voice crack. I was not expecting that at all, I didn't expect that a voice crack would be funny, it also made all her friends laugh. I just made everyone laugh and her not understandable joke didn't. Then all of a sudden she gets mad.

The first play of offense I threw a seventy-five yard touchdown pass to our number one receiver. After that I felt no pressure and had no fear, I was just having fun. After that pass everything changed, it was like we were playing catch and nobody would drop it. All the passes were straight to the receiver and all spiral passes. The whole team was all having fun. The game ended and the final score was fifty-two to six. We celebrated after the game and got our trophies. We all went to a restaurant to celebrate our victory and talked about our season

Evidence:
In the chapter "Saint Christopher Medal" Francisco Jimenez is not afraid to graduate instead he is excited and he kept thinking all about graduation on Saturday. He actually is not sad about leaving to another school again, he is excited.
Reasoning:
Francisco Jimenez was excited about leaving El Camino Junior High School and starting Santa Maria High School on time in the fall. During high school, Francisco worked hard at all his classes, but especially English and typing class because they were the two he had the hardest time keeping up with. For typing class in ninth grade, he fortunately came across an old typewriter at one of the law offices he cleaned. He practiced and got much better, ultimately getting a good grade in the class. For English class, Francisco worked closely with the teacher to correct his mistakes. He also practiced reading more, and wrote some of the poems and vocabulary lists he needed to memorize on a card he kept in his pocket so he could study while working.

On the first day of school, Francisco woke up and was in so much pain that he could barely move from his bed. He called his mother into his room. She thought that it might be fatigue and so she told Francisco to stay in bed; she and Trampita took care of cleaning the Western Union office.
Reasoning:
The following day Francisco went to the doctor, who told Francisco that he had mononucleosis, or mono as it is often known. The remedy was to get plenty of rest, eat well, and drink a lot of water. Francisco stayed in bed for one week but then returned to school and work - with Trampita's help

In the book "Breaking Through" by Francisco Jimenez, Francisco showed courage in the face of adversity when Francisco is staying alone with his brother without his parents."Alone in the barrack, Roberto and I took care of regular chores.
