The people rebelled against the authorities in Mexico. Mexico's 10,000 troops beat Spain, 1811. Mexico was finally free from Spain and its constitution. They had promises from rebels to be free and independent. In 1821 they got their 100% free. Even after independence they face economic problems for a long time until the modern era.

After the walls were finished King John the second the king of Portugal thought it would be a good idea to stay in Brazil. He realized that it had stopped the independence movements from going on in Brazil. So King John the second stayed for a while. Brazil was then raised to an equal partner in the Empire forming the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil. The king thought that they could stay un unified if they stayed there, but in the end, Brazil became it's own country.

Pedro of Braganza was the leader during the unification and also the king of Portugal. After Napolean conquered Portugal, Pedro claimed to be leader of Brazil. Many people of Brazil were not happy with their new leader. In 1826 he let g of his throne in Portugal. During the end of the revolution, he allowed Brazil to be independent.
