Helpful facts:  Yakima county now offers free COVID-19 testing for everyone over 3 months old.  If you are under the age of 18, a guardian must accompany you to the test.  Testing is available regardless of your citizenship/immigration status.  You do not need to have insurance to be tested. This subgroup will have two main functions:

1) creating a shared regional needs assessment and
2) putting together a template for creating county-specific equity statements and action plans.

We hope that the participants of this work group are representative of the two different counties in the south central region. The initial meeting will be a two-hour session, and the time commitment will be dependent on how the workgroup decides to proceed. There is no cap to how many folks can join the workgroup, just as long as each of the counties have equal voice in the process.

  • Exemptions are a complex process with a lot of nuances that can be difficult to navigate
  • Any exemptions come with accommodations and they will differ depending on the area/circumstances; such as changing work hours to reduce exposure, higher masking requirements, etc.
