water dictates Nya's life because she has to travel a long way to water everyday 2-3 times or more. Something that dictates my life is my parents. They tell me what to do, they are in charge.

#1 The group doesn't want Salva to come because they think that he will complain and slow them down. It makes me feel frustrated that the group is willing to leave him to die.

#4 Nya's life at home is harder because she has to walk for miles to get water but at the lake, the are at danger of being killed or hurt by the dinka tribe that lives as well.

Water controls Nya by having her busy. She probably doesn't have a lot of free time because she always has to get water. Sometimes my parents dictate my life (but in a good way).
1. At camp she dosent have to walk long to get water but at home she does.

The group doesnt want salva because he is just another one to feed. It must be terrible having to hear someone want to let you die or treat you like you dont matter.

The group did not want Salva to travel along with them because they think that since he is a kid that he will slow them down and that he is just another mouth to feed. How i feel about them willing to isolate and reject him is kind of mad at them because in their tribe they all take care of each other and at first they did not care if he was alone or hungry.

The group doesn't want Salva to join because he is a kid; a kid would slow them down, complain, or get hungry often.

Water effects Nya's life because she has to go get water every single day for 7 months; but if she refused then she would not have any water.

1. The group does not want Salva along because he is a child. They will think he will slow them down and complain. I feel like that they shouldn't reject him because he's a very hardworking child and would do anything to stay with the group.

4. Nya's life at home compared to at the lake is VERY different. At the lake There is water, but then soon it will dry up and the water under the ground becomes muddy water. At home, You have to walk a good bit to get water, she has to make 2 walks for water every. single. day. At the camp, you have to sleep under makeshift sheds. At home, You can sleep in huts.

The reason they left him behind is because he is young and they think he will slow them down. this makes me fell bad for saliva because he is probably scared.

Nya's life at the lake camp vs at home is very different at the lake she don't have to 1-2 miles to get water but she still has to go on a journey to get water at home she has huts but at the lake she has to make shelter out of sticks,leaves and other stuff

The group does not want Salva along because they think he will be a burden. They have limited food. They want to move as quickly as possible and they think that Salva will slow them down. Honestly I dont blame the group for not wanting him along. I wouldnt want him along either.

One thing that dictates Nya´s life is her supply of water. One thing that dictates my life is my grades. I get in a lot of trouble if I get a B. Thankfully I´ve only gotten As. I know that dosent dictate mylife but Im pretty safe and I have safety and rations.

#3 I learned how hard it is to live without your family and traveling really far. I think Salva is doing a great job learning to survive. Salva is sticking with the group and learning how to survive
