I also changed the activity to "Would You Rather..." questions which always makes for a lively discussion

Morning meeting has gotten pretty repetitive at this point in the school year. Every day I let the students know of important or different things going on so that they are prepared. They also enjoy getting up and greeting each other. I usually set the tone for the greeting like, "say goodmorning to five friends in a silly voice" or "greet someone with a compliment." I try to have a different greeting every day but it's hard to come up with so many. I have been trying to look at different resources for more greeting ideas to start the day. Or even activities to go along with our character focuses.

This year's class is very interested in ChannelOne News and we often spend our meeting chatting about ChannelOne, looking up more information and what we saw, and we also participate in the online polls. They like it so much I can threaten to take away ChannelOne and they snap out of whatever crazy funk they're in.
