Their leadership style does not match the goals that the healthcare system is trying to achieve. These outdated leaders are involved in the recruitment and selection process, which creates a situation where the "problematic leader" is selecting incoming leaders/manager who continue perpetuating their flawed style/method of leadership. As a result, the problems become ongoing and pervasive.
