Hi, I'm Paul Ireland- Sports Coordinator and pre-service HPE teacher based in North Queensland.

In todays classrooms, digital technology is no longer a bonus- it's a vital part of how we engage, differentiate, and empower students. Through this digital learning and teaching unit, I'm exploring how tools like Jacaranda LearnON, Google Classroom, and Kahoot! can transform Health and Physical Education from traditional content delivery into dynamic, student centered learning.

I'm particularly interested in how the SAMR model- Substitution, Augmentation, Modification & Redefinition- can guide the effective integration of digital pedagogy in HPE. At its highest level, digital tools allow students to redefine learning by creating fitness plans, interactive wellbeing campaigns, or reflective mental health strategies that connect classroom knowledge to real-life application. These tasks wouldn't be possible without technology and help develop critical thinking, collaboration, and digital health literacy.

This Padlet showcases the digital resources, teaching ideas, and reflections I'm building as I strengthen my digital pedagogy in Health and Physical Education- aiming to create interactive, inclusive, and future focused learning experiences.
