Join us to learn about "Develecology: The Science of How Our Ecosystem Shapes Our Development" from Lawrence G. Shelton, an Associate Professor in the Human Development and Family Studies program at the University of Vermont. All participants must register; a Zoom link and password will be sent to access the cafe and only those registered will be allowed in.

Our Fall program will focus on games. Join us for this 6 session virtual series to create your own game using Scratch! This program starts Thursday, September 30 @ 7:00-8:00 pm and runs each Thursday until November 4. Click here to register.

So, we are going to try something NEW THIS YEAR! We will be offering both a real-time virtual summit as well as pre-recorded workshops that you can access on your own time.

Our real-time virtual kick off will take place on Friday, October 29 from 9 am - 12:30 pm and it will feature keynote speakers and skill-building workshops around a unifying theme of climate change.

Then, on November 1 our YES Flipgrid site will open for you to explore a wide variety of environmental topics. The site will stay open for the entire month of November. This allows you the flexibility to participate when it works with your schedule!

At Rosie’s Girls, youth are introduced to skills and career fields that are nontraditional for their gender through hands-on learning in a supportive and empowering environment.

In addition to trades and technical learning, campers learn from our social and emotional curriculum known as “Power Skills” to help them navigate school, friendships, and societal issues.

Our staff members create a safe space for youth to step outside their comfort zones, make new friends, and build confidence in exploring their passions.

This camp will focus on co-creators growing confidence, resiliency skills, self-accountability, and mindfulness while they learn and practice using their authentic voice  (vocal growth, production, audience, in every day life).

This camp will focus on co-creators growing confidence, resiliency skills, self-accountability, and mindfulness while they learn and practice the Spanish language and learn about Latin American culture (includes Spanish language, art, and cuisine). Murphy Robinson is returning to teach archery and shelter building.

What can we do to ensure youth in Vermont can be successful in meeting goals and aspirations for the future?

Input from thousands of Vermonters will be collected through:

Findings will be shared with an Advisory Group of youth, parents, education practitioners, policy experts, youth organization leaders, education equity experts and advocates, municipal/community leaders, and business leaders. The group will use this input to make concrete policy and programming action recommendations back to the Future of Vermont Action Team for implementation.

The class will be held Monday and Thursday evenings and all day Saturday at the Carpenters Local Union shop in South Burlington, Vermont. Throughout the program, participants get hands-on experience participating in an office renovation project at VWW and a paid onsite work experience with a local employer.

It’s a social and support group for LGBTQ+ and questioning youth ages 13-19. Thanks to community partners and/or your local pizza place, dinner is provided at in-person Friday Night Groups. At Friday Night Groups this spring and summer, we’re going to enjoy some crafts, gardening, a movie night, and more!
