It ends up spreading across the surface in a thin layer and stops oxygen from getting to ocean plants and animals.

Oil is a source that is proved to be always reliable in producing energy at all times. So the effect is that you will constantly have energy.

Oil is a fossil fuel that comes from the ground. It is formed from a gigantic amount of dead tiny plants and animals such as algae and plankton on the sea floor. After millions of years of heat and pressure, it can turn into either oil or natural gasses. It all depends on heat and the organisms. The oil then travels through the rock until it gets trapped in clay and a cap rock.

Pro's
-By using oil it won't emit toxic gasses and won't explode so i think that's a plus.
-It's safe enough to store in your home without it leaking.
-Oil do not require LNG lines which means you can use it anywhere
-Energy rich and relatively cheap to process.
Con's
-It's highly flammable if it reaches a high enough temperature.

-Oil is more expensive than gas heating
- Its a bit inconvenient due to it not having a pipeline infrastructure
-Non renewable energy source because we are not replenishing the oil that we consume.

There are many different types of oil and oil can differ from each other in there viscosity, volatility and toxicity. The viscosity refers to a oil's resistance to flow, the volatility refers to how quickly the oil evaporates into the air, and finally toxicity refers to how toxic or poisonous the oil is to either people or organisms
