-By using oil it won't emit toxic gasses and won't explode so i think that's a plus.
-It's safe enough to store in your home without it leaking.
-Oil do not require LNG lines which means you can use it anywhere 
-Energy rich and relatively cheap to process. 
Con's
-It's highly flammable if it reaches a high enough temperature. 
-Oil is more expensive than gas heating 
- Its a bit inconvenient due to it not having a pipeline infrastructure 
-Non renewable energy source because we are not replenishing the oil that we consume.
