The Haymarket Riot was an organized rally in Chicago, 1886. The cause of this riot was because workers were upset with dangerous working conditions, long hours, and low pay. The riot created an issue for factory owners and the police because they were the ones who had to deal with it. During the rally, a bomb was thrown and caused approximately eight deaths. Because of this, the police force arrested anyone who looked suspicious (most commonly women or people of color). Convicted workers were sentenced to multiple years in prison, or even death. The main lesson that today's society should take away from this event is that violence solves nothing. All it will do is create new conflicts.

The Triangle shirt waste happened on March 25, 1911. This was one of the worst strikes because it killed 145 workers. The strike was started because of the workers getting paid $15 a week and working 12 hours each day. The reason so many people died is because the only way out was a 12 person elevator and it only got 4 loads down then people started jumping down the elevator shaft and from the 8 story high building.

With the Haymarket Riot the people were being underpaid and were working to long of hours. The workers were working in harsh working environments as well. The workers eventually go on strike(riot) and the managers get into danger because the workers were throwing things into the working environment. With this someone brought a bomb a threw it killing at least 8 people. The police are suspicious about some people and wrongfully accused them. Some of the people were hung and wrongfully imprisoned. We can learn that violence doesn't solve anything and to learn how to solve our problems peacefully.

The Haymarket Square Riot happened on May 4, 1886 in Chicago, Illinois after workers were getting long hours, low wages, and were working in dangerous working conditions. This riot ended up killing 8 people when an unknown individual threw a bomb at police. As a result, the workers didn't get what they wanted. Their managers and owners punished workers who seemed suspicious even though they had no proof. The lesson is violence solves nothing, it actually makes things worse and causes more problems. And we should learn how to solve our problems peacefully.

The Haymarket Square Riot is remembered as a very important riot in American history. The riot was started because many worker's employers exploited them with dangerous working conditions, low pay, and high hours. Those who started the riot ended up fighting against the police. At the end of it, someone had thrown a bomb and had ended up killing eight people. Those killed were seven police, one civilian, with the amount injured, unknown. The employers had to deal with the riot, and ended up blaming suspicious workers for the event. This event is important because it teaches us that when you use violence, it solves nothing and just creates more problems.

During the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire 145 workers died in this incident. The problems with the workers were that some were young and couldn't speak english, poor, or homeless, and they don't get paid a lot. The management kept the doors locked so that people couldn't steal clothing from the workshop. they didn't have good fire exits or hoses to make it where more people could get out. They all tried to stop the fire but it was too big and and fire hose was rusted and din't work and the fire exit was really small and would take forever to get everyone out as well. The workers tried using the one 12 man elevator that worked until it broke down after 4 trips going back and forth. For the people who used the stairs, they were met at the bottom with a locked door and still had no way out. The magement were able to get out to the roof and onto other building until brought to safety. Workers the started to jump out of windows and down the elevator shaft to get out and by doing that caused them to die too. What they learned from this was that they need to check every now and then to make sure the things still work in case of another fire. Get new fire exits and have plans in case of a fire.

The job at the factory was bad the conditions were bad the pay was bad at a woping 15 dollars for working 12 hours every day. The factory had no safety measures like no sprinkler systems and only one working elevator the stairs were a option but all the doors were locked. They locked the door to pervent theft because they were poor people that were new to America

The Haymarket Square Riot caused alot of controversy. Owners and managers had to deal with all of the riots from the workers. The riots were caused because the workers had to work in dangerous and dismal conditions, also after working in such conditions they had a low income wage. This caused the workers to organize a rally which turned into a riot to protest. Someone threw a bob at the police during this riot which caused the police to fire back. The results ended in the death of 7 cops and one civilian and many injured. The owners arrested and persecuted people that looked guilty and suspicious. Most people were racist so they arrested many colored people due to segregation. Many workers were hung or in jail for life.
Moral of the story is that violence is never the answer because it results in things worser and to never be aggressive or bring weapons to prove a point or testify because just like the riot and the person who threw the bomb, It caused the deaths of people which caused their protest and rally to be overlooked by the bomb and the violence which is major instead of thinking about why was it caused.

At the Haymarket Square Riot, many employees who worked in dangerous conditions, had extremely long works hours, and had little pay, decided to fight back against their bosses. They organized a riot to tell everyone that they were tired of their horrible jobs. Soon after, a bomb was thrown by one of the police officers trying to make the rioters stop. Eight people were killed by the bomb. This frightened owners and managers because they could be in danger as well. All employees were punished by management, but because of the time period, most fingers were pointed at "suspicious" people to them. They thought that these people had started the riot. Because of this riot, we have learned that violence solves nothing, all workers who were involved in the riot were punished, and probably were treated even more poorly by their bosses. In the end, it just created more problems

The Haymarket Square Riot started because workers wanted no more than eight-hour work days, they had to work in dangerous conditions, and the workers were also exploited. Then the owners and police had to deal with the riot. The Haymarket Square Riot started out as a labor protest rally, but escalated into a violent riot when bomb was thrown at the police, and, as a result, at least eight people died. Because of this, workers that were thought to be connected or suspicious, despite there being no evidence, were punished. Many of those convicted were hanged. Ultimately, violence solves nothing. Violence just leads to deaths and injuries, and causes more problems. We should learn to resolve our conflicts peacefully.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire is an event that caused the death of 145 people, mostly women. The conditions that let this take place was the negligence of the company owners over the work hours and conditions of the workers, and the faulty, nearly useless preperation attempts made by the company to prevent such a disaster. In the fire, workers tried escaping by the elevator which quickly broke down, a stairwell which was locked, and jumping out the window hoping not to die. Managers and owners of the company did nothing aside from one manager attempting to use a fire extinguisher that did not work. We should remember this event so that we can never allow a company to be so negligent, and prevent possible hundreds of deaths.

Henry Frick wanted to maximize profits in the Carnegie Steel Company. He did this by increasing workers' hour and decreasing their wages. The workers started to get angry and so they started to quit. Then they started to riot. The management locked the doors to the factory so the rioting workers could not get into the factory. They then attacked the factory by trying to ruin the company. Henry Frick then hired "pinkertons" to stop the Strikers, but that didn't work. The lesson to take away from this is that when you increase the hours the workers work then you need to increase their pay or keep it the same so they don't get angry and riot.

Carnegie hired Frick to cut wages and stop the unions so they couldn't try to get better pay and better hours. When Carnegie did this workers got mad and went on a strike. The workers blocked the plant so the new workers couldn't get into the plant and replace them. Frick eventually builds a wall and hired Pinkertons to keep the old workers out. He also asked the governor for help. The governor decides to send the militia after the strikers and opens fire on them. We can learn that the owners shouldn't have try to harm the strikers but try to talk about it and settle a agreement. For example, keep the pay the same instead of lowering it. The employees should have try to talk with the real owner, Carnegie, to create peace and some agreement that would help both sides. They should have try to create a peaceful way to keep there job instead of trying to create a problem.

There was a company called Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. The people that worked there were mostly immigrant women who needed money. They also had to work everyday. Since the woman needed money, some of them began to steal either clothing or money from the company. This is why the managers decided to keep the door locked. There was a fire on the ninth floor and the only way they escaped was from an elevator but could only fit 12 people in there at a time. Eventually, the elevator collapsed and was no longer able to work. The doors locked so the women had no way out. Some jumped out of the window and others were trapped and burned alive. They tried to put a net so that they could jump out the window, but three woman jumped at a time, and the net ripped. In the end, 145 workers died. The lesson you should learn from this that if you lock doors, you need to make sure someone knows and so that people don't get trapped in burning buildings. Also, some woman panicked when they found out about the fire and panicking only makes the situation worse. The significance of this event is that many woman and workers died and were burned alive.

The Haymarket Square Riot occurred on May 4th, 1886. The reason behind the riot was because workers had low wages and the workplace was dangerous. Owners and managers ignored the workers complaints of the workplace environment and wages, resulting in the workers rioting. The owners and managers reacted and alerted law enforcement. During the riot a worker set a bomb off, killing 8 people and injuring several others. We learned from this riot that workers have a say in their wages and their safety concerns. Failure to look into these problems will result in strikes

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory was a building in New York City. People who worked there were mostly women who needed money. A fire occurred, which started on the ninth floor of the tall building, and with that, a very big problem. The only fastest way for the people to escape were from the elevator, which could only hold 12 people at once. There were three other elevators but they were not in working condition. The doors were locked of the building except for one due to the fact that the people did not want anyone to steal anything. Due to the heat and flames, the elevator collapsed, and people were trapped. The only other way out was to jump, which would obviously lead to certain death due to the hight of the building. People were killed due to the doors being locked and were trapped in, suffocated from the smoke, or died when they jumped out the window. In the end , a total of 145 workers had been killed in this Industrial Disaster. The lesson we should learn are that business industries need safe working conditions.

On March 25, 1911 there was a fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. In the fire 145 workers were killed. This was because the workers had to work 12 hours a day and get only $15 or less a week. The factory had only one working elevator and two stairways leading to the street with a door locked from the outside. Isaac Harris and Max Blanck who owned the factory never put in a sprinkler system. To fight against the low paying job and the long hours the women protested in 1909. This only ended in the owners shutting it down and paying the politicians to look away. When the fire started on the ninth floor many of the workers fled to the elevator that could only hold 12 people at a time. The others tried to escape down the stairs which lead to a locked door. But many workers just jumped out of the windows losing their lives. After the factory burned down the owners lost money and workers. I think if they had better safety regulations and better hours many lives would have been saved.

Because of the drop in steel prices, Andrew Carnegie's steel company was forced to cut wages. The workers were not happy about their pay cut and wanted to get their pay back to where it was. They planned on doing this through their union. However, the plant manager, Henry Frick, needed to keep company costs down and refused to acknowledge the union. Frick ended up locking the workers out of the plant and built a fence around it. The workers then armed themselves and gathered around the plant to prevent any new workers from getting in. Frick then hired a private militia to defend the plant. Shots were fired and 9 strikers and 7 other men were killed. All of this violence could have been avoided if Frick had taken the union seriously and listened to their complaints, or if the union had gone straight to Carnegie.

The workers lost their jobs and it caused future riots and wars. The owners wanted to pay the workers a smaller price, the workers were laid off and because of this they began to go on strike. When Frick hired new people the old workers blocked the entrance to the plant. Frick built a wall to protect the plant and he hired the Pinkertons to 🤬 off all the old workers. This ended in war between the Pinkertons and the old workers. Frick killed them off, but it showed me that all of this could have been avoided if they negotiated instead of fighting.

The actions that they workers took during the Homestead Act would be that they tried to take down the company, make the work committee, become very violent, and tried to literally destroy the steel mill. The actions that the owners and mangagment took would be that they hired pinkertons and locked people out of the mill. The problems that the workers had would be that they got locked out of the fatory, increased hours with less payment, and owners would not make better terms. The problems that the owners and managment had would have been that the workers were violent, workers would not agree to maximize profits, and it would be very expansive to make the workers happy. The lessons that we should learn from this incident would be to treat people fairly, and when you increase work hours raise or leave the same payment.

He then locked them out of the factory, which is why the workers formed a union. Frick hired the Pinkertons to fight back but it didn't work. It would have been avoided if Henry Frick would have just done it fairly.

The problems with the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire was that they were working their employees to long and hard without paying them very good money. There for the employees most likely got sloppy. So a fire started because the employees where not paying attention. When the fire started the employees ran out, and the ones that where trapped jumped down the elevator shaft or out the window from 8 stories. The managers tried to just let the fire burn out but it just spreed to the rest of the building. the owners of the building escape off of the roof and jumped to a close by building. they could have prevented all of this from happening if they would have had the correct safety proceeders and payed the employees better for what they are doing.

Then, he locked everyone out of the factory except for himself. This caused the workers to form a union. Henry Frick hired the Pinkertons to take out the trash, but it failed. Around ten people died in the riot, and many others were injured. The lesson Frick learned from this? Never decrease wages and increase hours.

The Haymarket Riot was started by a bomb going off. No one knows who throw the bomb but it killed 7 police men and injured many police and citizens. The Workers started the riot because they were working to long for to little pay and wanted less hours and more pay. The working conditions were also not safe. The Riot before the bomb went off was peaceful. The mayor was there and so were women and children. It started raining and people left but some didn't and the police came. Later 8 men were put on trial. 7 were given the death penalty and 1 was given 15 years in prison. 4 were killed and the rest were soon set free because of the public pinion.

This outrages workers causing them to revolt. They attacked the factory in return. Henry Frick then locked the factory meaning they couldn't get paid making them so angry they put oil in a river and tried to burn it. The owners called Pinkerton and they killed multiple people. we should learn to be more peaceful and cooperative

For this big event in our history a problem occurred. Most workers of Carnegie Steel Company were cut off and the ones who stayed, their payment went way down. With that workers needed jobs and money but managers and owners wanted to keep the costs down and have no problems with the union. With all these conflicts workers fought back. They did this by surrounding steel plants and stopping workers from getting in. This strike didn't bother the owners. With that the owners needed to stop the workers. They did this by building a wall and hiring detectives to stop strikes or any other conflicts. From these events it taught us to not be an owner of a something so big and important and hire so many people just to hire more to pay way less. It doesn't look good on the owner and it makes you have so many enemies that you don't need.
