The 23rd April is so important day for me because this day is the only day that belongs to children in the World. The great leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK gave this festival for the children all around the World. This year is the 100th birthday of 23 April but we must stay at home because of the corona virus. For the 100th birthday, all the Turkish citizens will sing our national anthem. That day in the normal state of affairs there are a lot of big shows everywhere and these shows are really great and stirring. I want to join one of these shows. I saw them only in my school books. I wish to celebrate the 23rd of April but I can’t I’m upset about that. The 23rd of April is my favorite festival. So you must come and see the festival.
Thanks for reading this.

Not only because it is the first and only children’s festival, but it is also the day the Turkish Grand National Assembly was established which lead to the foundation of the Republic of Turkey. Children all around the world come to Turkey to show their traditional games etc. This is the festival of freedom, democracy, justice, equality and of course, children; our future. The celebration is based on traditional games and reading poems. People hang national flags. It’s an honor to participate.
Thanks to Ataturk, we have a very different and meaningful festival.

23rd April is an important day for Turkish people. In 1920 Ataturk founded the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Then he gave this day to all children in the world as a gift. Since that day every year on the 23rd of April, we celebrate this festival. On the 23rd of April, we all decorate our classes in the school and prepare shows. Then we sing songs, play dramas or dance. We spend our time with our family and friends. We dress in a special way. We have a lot of child visitors from other countries and they celebrate this festival too. They dance and sing songs like other Turkish children. On this day Turkish people usually visit the Turkish Grand National Assembly or Anıtkabir where Ataturk's grave is located. We carry Turkish flags and we put flowers to his tomb. This day is very special and important for Turkish people.

There is always a festival in this process but because of the pandemic, we won’t have a festival. We are so sad about this because the 23rd of April is an official holiday and it’s so fun. Of course, freedom, democracy, and justice are more important than this. We are so lucky to have this day. I hope next year we will be able to go out to celebrate the festival and have fun. Everyone let’s hang our national flags!

For this celebration, National Sovereignty was announced and freedom, democracy and justice were achieved in Turkey. Schools are doing some organizations for children's day but this year, the 23rd of April we won’t celebrate it at school or on the streets because there is a virus which is a pandemic. Despite this, we will celebrate the 23rd of April from our homes. Of course, this celebration won’t like other celebrations but Ataturk did everything, work hard and never give up for us and he is still living in our hearts. At the same time, this celebration is for our country but a few years ago children from all over the World come to Turkey because Ataturk also gave this celebration to all the children in the world.
Thank you, Dear Ancestor…

In short, the festival is so amazing and everyone remembers this culture again and again but this year we can’t celebrate this beautiful festival because of COVID. Despite everything, I hope that in Turkey we will celebrate it again. If we look from a different place, it’s not so hard to be happy or not fight each other. On the 23rd of April, we became one so on other days we can keep that perspective with all human beings. There is no need for war, disease or shouts. We can be happy in a simple day. We can live without a fight. Life is short. You must have a good time. To be happy we don't need the 23rd of April only, every day we can be happy and be together. Yes, the 23rd of April is very important for all of us but after that day we must keep our good behaviors and become one.
