Senator Kirsten Gillibrand
Democrat
New York

"Senator Gillibrand is leading the fight to reform the justice system for sexual assault survivors in the military and on college campuses. In 2013, as chair of the Armed Services subcommittee on personnel, she held the first Senate hearing on the issue of sexual assault in the military in almost a decade, and has built a bipartisan coalition of Senators in support of her bill, the Military Justice Improvement Act, which would remove sexual assault cases from the chain of command. She has also built a broad, bipartisan coalition for the Campus Accountability and Safety Act, which would finally hold colleges accountable for sexual assault on their campuses."

A huge difference between the conservative and liberal views of sexual assault is gender. Women inevitably have a greater say in the Democratic party than they do in the Republican party. This meaning 78 of the 105 women involved have liberal views. They are more prone to giving their sexual assault stories rather than men who tend to keep quiet about it. https://psmag.com/news/liberals-and-conservatives-act-differently-about-sexual-predators A newer law was passed that both sexes can stay together at colleges meaning they don't need any supervision which was suggested by the liberals. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/13/opinion/devos-campus-rape-liberalism.html
