It was an amazing eye opener to the hard, heart-breaking side of it but it also felt personal as she was only a 12 year old girl when she started writing it. This is a brilliant book about a teenage boy's challenging experience that took place communist Romania in 1989, the year of the revolution. I feel so much sympathy for him as he is faced with such a tough decision no one should encounter, betray the government with serious consequences or betray the government. It left me speechless when i read about how drastically different everyone's lives were compared to life today. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to learn something completely new about a time in history.

The diary of a young girl - Anne Frank is a first-hand account of her experience as a Jew in WW2 hiding from the Nazis. Written whilst she and her family are hiding in Amsterdam, the diary really captures Anne's thoughts and feelings excellently. During hiding she reflects on her feelings and her relationships in the real world. Sadly she didn't survive afterwards but her diary is very well known across the world. I would recommend this book if you are interested in non-fiction and history.

I recommend the book "The Boy with the Butterfly mind" because the boy that has ADHD ruins everything for the girl unintentionally, she hates him and wants him gone, but eventually they figure things out and become each others best friends.
