If you know me, you know that the Twilight Sage is how I cope when I feel sad, I don't know how to explain it, I feel connected to these movies. I chose the last movie because in the final scene Bella finally opens up to Edward where he can read her mind. It's my favorite because Bella trusted him enough to let him into her mind after all the years they been together. It just revealed to the audience that they've been through so much and their love exceeded all expectations. Bella admits that she was practicing how to show Edward that montage which just shows that if you really love someone you will work hard in doing anything for them. This is because I am a sucker for that teenage love. Especially where one person changes the other person for the better. Specifically in the After movies, Hardin Scott is a cold and brutal character who struggles to overcome his toxic personality and harsh manners. He also has an internal struggle with himself but also with his father and the past they share. I won't ruin the movies for anyone who has not seen them yet (they are both on Netflix, I 100% recommend you watch!) Then we have the other main character, Theresa Young, AKA Tessa. In the first movie, her character is kind, innocent, but daring, intelligent, and determined. However, she struggles the fight between herself and her mother. Her mom can be very hard on her, trying to mold the life she wants Tessa to live, which colleges to go to, who to date, forcing Tessa to only focus on her studies, etc. Once Tessa and Hardin meet at a party, it all goes off from there. It makes me really believe that a love so strong can be found outside of a movie screen...a girl can dream, right? Haha. I chose this movie because specifically it shows that in relationships, careers are going to seem that they are more prioritize. This series takes place during the Regency era in England. Families host an annual event where they introduce their young children into a new life style of marriage. The gentlemens would try to win a girls heart and eventually propose. A young girl name Daphne and her brother's childhood friend Simon, the Duke of Hastings, were caught making out in the garden. During this era, this was not allowed unless the couple were married. Her brother found out and demanded to fight the Duke until someone dies. Eventually, Daphne agreed to marry Simon and save him from death. She knew Simon did not wish to ever marry, nor have kids, but he had no choice but to marry her. They had not talked ever since Daphne and Simon got married. In this scene, they were on their way to the Duke's house and had stopped at an inn to rest. After awkward silence and tension between the two, Daphne and Simon finally talked. The couple eventually expressed their true love for each other throughout this intense scene. I follow this couple on Youtube named Simon and Martina and their relationship and passion for love is my favorite to watch. They are originally from Canada and met in college. After college they began to travel the world, living in Korea as English teachers for I believe 6+ years before moving to Japan for a couple more. Their love transcends relationships as they have incredible respect, admiration and love for culture and food. Martina unfortunately suffers with a chronic condition known as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, however her strength, perseverance and love for mental health has inspired many like myself. He has two children: a son who is in high school and a daughter in college. The son is an innocent, hopeless romantic who finds love with a girl named Kate who is emotionally trouble because of her parents and boyfriend. He tries to help her. The daughter in college is cynical when it comes to love often putting walls up and uses causal hook ups with guys with a much less IQ as her as a defense when encountering any emotional ties. She finds love with a down to earth guy in one of her classes and finds that because he's so safe and genuine she can trust him. I want to feel some realistic pain and surprisingly I found that pain in Greta Gerwig's Little Women (2019). Jesus Christ, this scene where Laurie proposes to Jo... absolutely brutal. Laurie insists that he and Jo should "have it out" much to her dismay, and you can quite literally see how he works himself up in an effort to convince himself that he is the one for Jo. As an independent young woman who is looking for writing success and not marriage prospects, Jo gut wrenchingly pleads with Laurie to take his proposal elsewhere. She knows that a life with Laurie would be unfruitful for the both of them as Laurie had already started to shape so much of his personality around what he thinks Jo wants. This one sided "love" shows the naivety possessed by someone who falls in love with the idea of a person instead of the actual person. For an example Ron and Sam's relationship throughout the show taught fans a lot about unhealthy relationships and how to deal and not deal with them. This show also showed a lot about relationships in general because at one point almost every character was in a relationship. They fall in love despite their differences and it is amazing to see how easily love can change a person. It is my favorite love movie to watch because it truly is such an inspirational and moving movie to watch, the ending is incredibly sad (I will not spoil) but it definitely is a tear jerker. Lucy's family is very protective of her and is skeptical when Henry wants to stay in her life despite her condition. He points out that if you only love yourself at 20%, someone can come along and only love 30% of you, and you may see that as so much, but its literally less than half.  Sometimes the jigsaw doesn't need your partner to be the completion to your jigsaw, but another piece that works together and fits with the rest of the  puzzle. I enjoy this show because it allows the actors and actresses to date without seeing each other. They are placed in pods and have to form a relationship based on emotion connection rather than a physical connection, and they also get married by the end of the series. I like it because I feel like it touches on so many issues that are normally not communicated or even though about in a relationship. It talks about how how love is seen now as almost a contract where it is unconditional until a certain persons conditions are not met and how people try to force their partner to fit the image they have rather than accepting them for who they are and loving who they may become. I feel like the problem with love now and days is that people sometimes fail to realized that it is ok to grow with someone because you will grow and change throughout life.
