Ashley Ma 6-504

Why Preventing Climate Change Is Important

What is the environment? An environment is the surroundings and condition around a living thing. It consists of ecosystems, climate change, and animals that all play different parts. A little change that disrupts nature, will affect the environment. The definition of climate change is that “Climate change describes a change in the average conditions — such as temperature and rainfall — in a region over a long period of time.” Says NASA ClimateKids. I think that everyone should try to help out with preventing climate change because it can affect the way we live, and the survival of plants and animals. But there are still so many ways that we can help to stop climate change.

There are many ways that the change in the climate can affect how we live. One example is from the text titled, Lesotho Is An Example of How Climate Change Disproportionately Affects Developing Countries that in Lesotho only 10% of their land is suitable for growing crops. But in Lesotho, the rain is always late. So every time rain arrived it would always have so much force and that force always washed away the nutrient-rich topsoil that is needed to plant most plants. Since Lesotho has very little land that can grow resources losing the solid from those parts could lead to fewer resources, and will affect how people survive there. Another example is from the text titled, “How Climate Change Is Impacting Animals in the Canadian Arctic” in the capital of Nunavut, an Inuit woman named Jennifer Kalibuk said that climate is affecting her food, home, and her traditions. She also states that the pillars that were embedded to hold up the Arctic buildings are now sinking and destroying homes and affecting people who don’t have enough money to pay for the repairs. The climate-changing is melting the ice in the Arctic which can cause a lot of problems for those who need the ice to keep surviving. Lastly, according to “Lesotho Is An Example of How Climate Change Disproportionately Affects Developing Countries” Day Zero is a thing where city officials cut off the water in Port City of Cape Town, leaving the people who lived in Port City to rely on using rainwater. If it wasn’t bad enough, sometimes the rain comes late, and since the rain comes late they might need to wait for days until they can get water. These are a few examples of how climate change is affecting how we are living. This makes me think that climate change is making a huge impact on those who have very few resources.

Climate change not only can it affect how people live it could also affect animals and plants too. For example, different temperatures can change how plants grow and the amount the plants grow. Some plants are different and need specific things to grow, and for the plants to grow it needs to be in a specific temperature so it can grow properly. Also, another example is that in the Canadian Arctic the temperature has been going up making the ice melt and that makes getting food harder for those animals and people who live there. Take a female polar bear, for example, she was in the middle of the ocean standing on a piece of ice and having to swim miles to get back to shore with a cub. Swimming would take a lot of your energy so you would have to eat, but since she needed to go on ice so she could catch her meal, and since the ice was melting she had less time to hunt for food. These examples show how climate change is affecting plants and animals. This makes me think that climate change is changing and destroying environments that animals and plants live in.

Climate change is causing a huge problem and we should start to try to prevent it. A teen climate activist named Jamie Margolin was interested in climate justice activism in her freshmen year of high school a month after the 2016 elections. Jamie runs an organization called “Zero Hours” and they organize marches, protests, and rallies to raise awareness to get politicians and business leaders to act on the climate crisis, and to also get kids involved. Kids of any age are starting to take part in this. After all, they are starting to realize that they have to do something if they want to have a better future for everyone before regretting not doing anything about it because this will affect our future. Because Zero Hours don’t have offices and headquarters they mostly rely on technology. They make conference calls, and also events together but in different places and times and all over the world. So donating to organizations can help them spread awareness around the world more. Another way to help is to go on websites and find organizations in your area to donate to or to attend events. Lastly, you can also try to find a community of your own, that shares the same fears as you, so you could turn that fear into confidence, and that you can contribute your skills to that community. These are just a few ways you can help stop climate change. This makes me think that many communitys are working really hard to contribute to the stop of climate change, and that we also can help even if we can’t really do much.

Overall, it is significant to help stop climate change as there are many ways to do so. Climate change affects the surrounding nature which is our main source of survival. Farms, animals, and plants, in other words, are important to us because they provide us meat, protein and so much more, but because of climate change, they could be impacted. Climate change is destroying the environment that animals live in making them look for new homes that they live safely in. Climate change has many conflicts that affect the Earth if we don't take part in stopping it today. So, why is climate change important? Climate change is important because it can damage the earth negatively as well as all living organisms. Doing our part such as joining organizations or organizing protests can still help even though it doesn't have much effect. So what would you do to help stop climate change?

People are getting killed because of their skin color. This is a problem and it needs to get solved. There are adults and teen activists like Thandiwe Abdullah who are working to stop the killing of black people and I'll show you how BLM started and how it needs to be solved.

            Teen Activist Thandiwe Abdullah

Teen activists work hard to bring awareness to the BLM movement. One teen is Thandiwe Abdullah she is 17 and she is a Teen Activist she is trying to stop the killing of black people. I agree with this girl because no black people should be harmed and everyone should get treated equally.Thandiwe Abdullah expresses how she feels about the BLM movement.

                      How BLM Started

Black Lives Matter sStarted because police killed black people for no reason when they didn’t even do nothing. When somebody robbed a black person and the black person called the police for help but the person lies and says the black person robbed him then the black person says he robbed me but the police won't believe him because he is black. This makes me think that some cops are racist. This makes me feel disappointed because some police are treating people like that.

Black Lives Matter is a movement that has many black and nonblack people who are educating the world about their innocent people being killed. The movement has a short but strong history and many activists, both teens and adults.

Ps/Is 192 Osiyo Tolibova 6-504 12/15/2020

The Care for Abandoned Animals!

Would you want to be left outside in the middle of the cold street starving with no water or food to eat? There are millions of animals out there living in misery because they are abandoned. Well, you might ask what animal abandonment is, and that’s what I’m here for, to explain to you. Animal abandonment is when you leave behind an animal in the streets in which you are causing it to suffer its life with no food or water, and that causes millions of homeless animals to die. The main reason why animals are in shelters or on the streets is that owners gave them up. Just like that each year billions of abandoned animals are killed. However, Animal activists all around the world have been trying to do their best to help abandoned pets in many different ways. Some teen activists work with animal controls to help try to decrease the number of abandoned pets and rehome them. Others meanwhile help pets indirectly by making Facebook pages and trying to spread their message and getting others to help. On the other hand, some work directly with the animal and get information about that animal and try their best to help them.

As I had said some teen activists communicate with animal control and work together to try to stop the number of abandoned animals from increasing. One of those teen activists is Faye Carey. She works with animal control to help find and rehome abandoned dogs. Faye Carey is helping re-home dozens of abandoned dogs. Faye helps with giving the animal control’s dogs that generally miss out in the first instance of getting adopted. Faye still spends every Friday volunteering at Animal Control. She also spends around three hours each night organizing for people to view the animals, setting up adoptions. Faye Carey claims, "It can be stressful trying to juggle because we've got animals at home and schoolwork and chores and everything else. But I think it's easy for me to do my work because I'm quite dedicated to the puppies and dogs," she says. According to this information, I can tell that she is determined to help even if she has school and she always finds time to volunteer in activities with homeless pets. Also according to, NewsHub, a Teenage girl is Dog’s best friend states,” The pound receives as many as 20 new dogs each week, most of which need re-homing." The majority of our dogs that we find are generally out roaming or abandoned and often we get a lot of dogs who are surrendered by their owners who can no longer look after them," says Mr. Oliver. "With Faye's help and work, we can quite often get these dogs into suitable caring homes quite quickly now, so it's good. This fact highlights that they are determined to work harder and try to decrease the number of homeless dogs.

Some activists indirectly work with animals by posting social media pages instead of directly working with them. They create Facebook pages that persuade people to help them donate and join their group to help abandoned animals. Social media can be the number one way to get other people to help. It is also the fastest way to get your message to others and get them to help you. One teen activist, I mentioned who also has Facebook pages trying to get volunteers to help is Faye Carey. She posts pictures every week on her page to get people to volunteer to help her. One of those volunteers is a 16-year-old with her local animal control. According to, NewsHub, a Teenage girl is Dog’s best friend it states,” The 16-year-old Waikato teen volunteers with her local branch of Animal Control, giving abandoned animals a second chance at life. She has set up a Facebook page, Animal Re-home Waikato, where she advertises puppies and dogs who need adopting. It all started when Faye underwent a week of work experience at Animal Control last November. The idea for the Facebook page came when Faye was trying to re-home a litter of abandoned kittens and needed a free way to advertise. This source demonstrates that Faye wanted a faster and free way to advertise her message to others. Also, the article claims,” grooming the new puppies and photographing them for the Facebook page. She also spends around three hours each night organizing for people to view the animals, setting up adoptions, and replying to emails. This reveals that some activists try to help animals by spreading messages through the internet.

Also, teen activists who work directly with animals set up shelters for them, volunteer at shelters, and spent a lot of time helping to find permanent homes for the abandoned animals. Also, activists try to interact with the pet itself and work with it to get more information about it so that they can try their best to help it. Some activists also work with vets just incase the abandoned pet might be harmed in some ways. Before they rehome it, they make sure it is not harmed. Some activists have their own shelters for the abandoned pets they find in the streets to keeps them safer.

Some activists get others to donate food, water, and other things for the pets. Meanwhile, they also try to find really good and permanent homes for the pets that are suffering so they don’t have to get in this situation once more. This evidence is making me think that Teen Activists are trying their best to support animals, not just support but also give them another chance at life.

In conclusion, I think that people should actually think about if they are responsible enough to own a pet. However, thanks to teen activists they are trying their best to decrease the number of abandoned and homeless animals. Activists are helping in many different ways like getting help from animal controls and sending messages through social media for volunteers to help them.

It should be known black people deserve justice. You will learn today about the Black Lives Matter Association, a teen activist named Anya Dillard, and finally black people face more violent acts from others than other races.

The Black Lives Matter Association started back in 2013 with the post on instagram #BlackLivesMatter. They stated ‘’we have come to fight racism and police brutality towards black people. The BLM association has been fighting for 7 whole years to stop all of this violence and to give black people a good impression. It states in my article ‘’The Black Lives Matter Association has been trying to encourage empathy for black communities, highlight institutional oppression, and work toward policy changes to make everyone safer.‘’ My opinion about this is that the BLM Association should keep doing what they're doing because if they try hard enough that would make a better future for black people very soon.

A teen activist that has been involved with the BLM association is a 17 year old girl named Anya Dillard. She went and got thousands of people from her community in West Orange,New Jersey

to start a protest and she was garnering the mayor's attention and the local officials so black lives matter will be well known. It also shows in my article ‘’Anya Dillard is also the creator of ‘’’The Next Gen Come Up’’ a non profit organization encouraging community service and activism among teens’’. This made me think that we should encourage more people to help these organizations so we could lie in a better world.

Black citizens face the most violence from other races, this includes from the police and strangers. These people would use excessive force on a black person for no reason and just because they wanted to. It also states in my text that African Americans and black people are 3.47 times more likely to have force used on them then a white person. They are also more likely to be arrested than a white person. It also states in my article ‘’Black people are more likely to be arrested or even shot when in contact with a police officer.

This makes me think that the chances that black people will be shot will be even higher and higher the longer that this keeps going on.

Today I have informed you with some information about the BLM Association and what they are doing to help black people with all of this violence and injustice. It's cruel. Imagine your own mom leaving you behind to die. That's how I describe it but it's worse because pets are confused. They think that you left them for a punishment because they did something wrong, they wait for you to come back, this causes them mental and physical pain. A human can get help because you can talk and understand what's happening, a pet cannot.Animals who are abandoned can have bad things happen to them like trauma, pain, trust issues, and bad injuries.

Many bad things can happen to animals that are abandoned. An animal who is abandoned can die because of dehydration. According to dictionary.com the definition of dehydration is ‘’the loss or removal of water from something. ‘’ When an animal doesn't drink water for a long time they die in a few hours. People also throw them away by throwing them out of a moving car. This can injure the pet, the pet can also try to run back to the car which can cause a motor accident. This makes me realize that the owner is not only causing harm to the pet but is also causing harm to himself/herself because if the pet runs back it gets injured and the owner can end up in an accident.

People need to make sure they are ready for a pet. Animals love you, they are always there for you. It's not good to pay them back by dumping them, throwing them away like garbage and leaving them behind. As you can see my point is to not abandon your pet. Before you even get a pet think about it, it's not good to overthink but in this situation it sure is.In other words, think about if you are ready for the responsibility of having a pet of your own. According to Animal Abandonment: It’s just not Okay by Deb jarrett “When you buy or receive, or scoop up a stray animal, you are taking on the responsibility of caring for that animal for its lifetime.

If you do get a pet you have to think about responsibility. Having a pet is like having a baby, you have to be responsible, you have to feed it, give it a bath, train it, pay for shots, pay for food, clothing, bowls, and it keeps going. You also have to have time to take them for a walk and even more time to give them the love they deserve. That pet is counting on you, it's giving you trust, don't ruin it. According to Animal Abandonment: It’s just not Okay by Deb jarrett “you have to be prepared for their long term care which includes feeding, providing water, spaying and neutering dogs and cats to prevent unnecessary breeding, and footing vet bills. You are responsible for learning training basics which include house training. If you don’t have money to hire a trainer, ask a friend who has a pet or just “google” it. YouTube has so many videos to help you.

There are alternatives to abandoning your pet by nick guile “Our area has seen multiple cases of animals being abandoned in the past week alone. Animal abandonment is a crime and is classified as a misdemeanor in the state of New York. It can carry a fine of up to one thousand dollars and/or up to one year in jail.’’

It means a lot of things. The Black Lives Matter movement is important to our society because 1. Black Lives Matter began as a hashtag and grew into a protest slogan that is trying to change half of the world. 2. So many people lost their loved ones due to racial discrimination. And finally 3. Yes, all lives matter but as if in right now Black Lives Matter the most because they need help in so many ways.

The Black Lives Matter movement began as a hashtag and grew into a protest slogan which is working to change half of the world. According to elle.com by Maddison Feller I read it stated, it changes half of the world because it’s a slogan that “ Forces white people and the world to respect black humanity in the millennium.” In other words, the BLM movement is telling people to respect black

people too. Just because their skin color is different they should not be treated differently. We should all treat people the same way. Another reason why it is working to change the world is because teen activists such as Thandiwe Abdullah, 16, from Los Angeles, California, changed the world by “ Helping and creating the Black Lives Matter afterschool programs in school programs” which could help kids understand about the history of this important slogan and word. What this means to me is that it's really helpful because kids can learn so much about all the things that happened in the world and make them able to make a change.

The Black Lives Matter Movement is important because so many people lost their loved ones due to racial discrimination. For example, according to ald.com from their article called, “Black Lives Matter: From Hashtag To Movement, it stated that “There is a larger context and history of African-American men and boys who were killed at the hands of police, and many of whom, like George Floyd, we’re unharmed.” As you can see, these people were unharmed and the police took their lives. Another example is,” Black women and girls were also targets of police violence, a reality that sparked the”Say her Name” movement to highlight how this violence often goes unnoticed. Also according to a 2015 study, African Americans died at the hands of police at a rate of 7.2 per million, while whites were killed at a rate of 2.9 per million. As you can see this is just horrible and everyone should be treated the same way.

The Black Lives Matter Movement is important because so many people lost their loved ones due to racial discrimination.

PSI/S 192 Shukrona Sayfieva

Class 6-504 12/1/2020

Did you know that when you eat meat, and when you litter, you are the reason for the death of an animal, and you will be the cause for the death of yourself! Animal endangerment is when a type of species is dying out and is almost gone to extinction due to either human activities such as pollution or invasive species. The fight against animal endangerment has inspired more than twenty different types of activists. Some joined because they felt bad and guilty for the animals and the environment. They thought “Why do they have to suffer? When we don’t!”. You may ask,”what is causing the animals to be endangered?’’ Also about ‘’The many deaths of animals.’’

The reasons animal endangerment is even a thing is because of animal abandonment ,hunting or poaching, logging, mining, and theorising. One woman named Marianne Thieme who was an author and animal rights activist.” She was also a jurist by education, she served as the party for the animals political leader from 2002-2019 and a member of the House of Representatives from 2006-2019”says the Wikipedia. She was born in Ede,Netherlands on March 6,1972. A story of something that might cause cats to extinction is that, “one day like any other day me and my friends were walking home together when we found a kitten with a scar on it’s eye under the wheel of a car and it looked pretty lonely so we thought of what to do and how it ended up the way it is when one of my friends friend came and we told her what happened and she said that she had cats at home and that she would ask her parents to come so they would take the kitten to the vet and if it is okay if she could keep it and we were all okay with it as long as the kitten was safe that was the only thing that we cared about so the girl took her to the vet and everything was okay.” so that is an example of pet abandonment . Marianne is alive today happy of what she has done and proud of the ones who want to save the environment. Most of the activists like Marianne wanted to stop this cruelty and decided to write books for children to teach them about it so they learn not to do the things that hunters and litters do and to teach them the right of animals.

Animal activists work hard to make sure that they reach their goals to save animals and the environment. Even though they are not going to be able to stop animal endangerment for good at least they are trying and thinking of us and the environment and they are doing whatever it takes. But it is worse than you thought it would be and an example of that is that 318 types of animals are extinct because of climate change and pollution! A reason for that is ”more than 11 animals go extinct every hour”says the video in brain pop. Another reason for that is “in between 10 and 100 species have gone extinct every year” says the video in the brain pop app. Lastly the last reason is that “over 1 billion animals are extinct now.” This proves that animal endangerment is a bigger and badder problem than you can think of and it not only affects the animals but it affects you too.

In conclusion, animal abandonment is a bigger problem than you think because of what you eat, what you kill ,and what you extinguish. Think of all the poor animals that are losing their lives because of you. We should be thankful that we have activists among us to help the environment. Now that you read my article about animal endangerment and about the causes of animal endangerment, and the activists that are helping to stop animal endangerment. Maybe one day you can become an activist,an animal activist.

How would you feel if you were the one who was treated differently because of your skin color? This is how millions of black Americans and black people around the world feel. The Blacklives matter movement is helping to teach the world about racial equality and to end racism. There are teen activists and members of the Black Lives Matter Association that are working to educate the world on this topic.

Teen Activists are trying to stop racism. Many people with other skin colors get killed and many kids of other races are bullied. Black Lives Matter (BLM) is an international activist group. They originated in the African-American community. They are against violence and systemic racism toward black people. Teen Activists and many kids are trying to stop others who are killing other people with different Skin Colors. Even kids like me are scared. "I'm worried about Black people, like me, getting hurt. Some skin is like chocolate. Some are like vanilla. Some are mixed together like mine. But we're all people," Nolan Davis said through a megaphone at the start of Saturday's event.” https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/01/us/8-year-old-black-lives-matter-protest-missouri-trnd/index.html. I’m even scared to go outside or even look outside my window and hide myself inside so I'm not the victim. It's just not fair that other skin can live without anything happening to them while others hide themselves.
The movement began in 2013 with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on social media, after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin.” It is not fair for some people to kill people with different skin colors. Even if the skin color is different they are still humans and nobody should die for no reason. Our skin doesn't matter only our happiness does. It’s not their fault or anyone's fault that they were born with that skin color. The color they were born with doesn’t mean they are dangerous. In https://kids.kiddle.co/Black_Lives_Matter “Since the Ferguson protests, participants of Black Lives Matter have demonstrated against other African-Americans' deaths, like Freddie Gray, Sandra Bland, Laquan McDonald, Philando Castile and Alton Sterling.
The movement returned to national headlines during the George Floyd protests.”

Many teens and kids are trying to stop racism and racist people. But racist people are acting like they don’t have a voice but they do have a strong voice. But others just don’t pay attention to Teen Activists and kids. Do you think racist people are doing the right thing or wrong?

Did you know more than 2.7 million dogs and cats die from pet shelters. They might be extinct if we don’t help them. Pets are like our best friends, imagine your best friend right now and then he passed away. That’s the same thing with pets, people treat their pets like family and people need them. Dogs are abandoned every day to die outside or in a shelter. When a dog is abandoned they need to learn to survive. Animal abandonment is when you leave your pets in the shelters or outside.

One reason why abandoning pets is a bad idea is because so many die, 2.7 million pets die in shelters. Dogs are dying every day. In their old homes they had a roof over their head, food and water and a bed, but now they sometimes live in the street and they are cold and don’t have any food or water. They become weak and pass away. People have abused their dogs or pets that’s why many die because their owners don’t want them. When they are left outside it’s dangerous for them, people leave their animals abandoned. this leads to animals being left in danger. Then the animals shelters come for them and if the dogs don’t get a new home. The dogs die in the shelter.

Before the pets were abandoned they had a good life. They had a home where they had food, a warm bed, and were taking care of. Now that they get abandoned they don’t have this anymore. There are owners that don’t realize that they are putting their pets in danger when they abandon them. When they are outside by themselves pets could die from diseases. Now they don’t have a home, they no longer have a warm bed or blanket or warm food, and they have to live in this new place or new habitat. They have to live now as wild animals and find their own food but they have a hard time on their own.

In conclusion, I believe that dogs mean no harm. When they are abandoned sometimes the owners don’t have a choice because they don't

allow pets in apartments. they have to leave their best friend behind and then the dogs die from abandonment. But little by little things will change.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

Did you know that BLM was created on July 13, 2013, by Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza? There is a lot of inequality, racism, and injustice. For example, many people died by police officers killing black people like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, etc.BlackLivesMatter because in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. The Black Lives Matter Movement is teaching American and world citizens about how the movement started, police violence against people of color, and systemic racism in the United States.

How BLM is started
According to blacklivematter.com "BLM started in July of 2013" after George Zimmerman was acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin. BLM started to gain popularity in 2014 when two more African American people were killed, and protests in Missouri that year helped bring BLM to national attention.
Police violence
Earlier this year George Floyd was a victim of police violence, this caused many protests across America. Unfortunately, police violence is not that uncommon it is expected that according to the PNAS every 1 in 1000 young black men will be killed in incidents involving the police. Also in 2013, "Trayvon Martin was murdered the man guilty of murdering him George Zimmerman was found not guilty this is yet another case of violence against African Americans where justice was not served for the unfortunate victims.
Systemic racism
The police are not the only institution that is unfair towards black people. Systemic racism is a system and structures that have processes and procedures that disadvantage African Americans. Economic Policy Institute This can be seen with the wealth gap between black Americans and white Americans black families’ median net worth is 134000 per year a black families’ median worth is 14000 per year this big wage gap can be associated with systemic racism.” This explains that there is still an unfair advantage that exists and is even more present now and this disadvantage further helps put black people at a greater disadvantage.
Conclusion
The BLM movement is a representation of the unfairness that exists in American society. Things such as police violence, systemic racism, and the wage gap are all examples of the unfairness that exists due to some form of racism. Thanks to the BLM movement these issues are starting to receive more public attention and support, hopefully, one day there will be a day when there is no unfairness.

A white police officer named Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for a period initially reported to be 8 minutes and 46 seconds.” This makes me feel annoyed because this poor man did nothing and the police officer choked him with his knee. This racism has been going on for years and there are many activists, including teen activists teaching about Black Lives Matter. What is so wrong about people with darker skin colors? Do you think Black Lives matter?

Teen activists are working to end the racism.Racism is defined as “Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a decentralized political and social movement advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against black people Thandiwe Abdullah, 16 and this is was she said” I want to remember that none of our wins came easy. Showing up at the mayor's office, at the DA's office, pressuring them, writing letters, going to the capitol—all of this exhausting work just to get an inch of justice. It sounds corny, but don't give up Because light skin color people killed so many Afro American people including George Floyd that now rest in peace including other African-American people that have died over the last 10 years Let me tell you one thing why do we go on with the racism.

In case of George Floyd he died by the police that are Light skin colored just because he was in his car.The police had no reason to kill him because he was not doing anything. So what was the purpose for killing him? I mean why would they do that to an innocent person? We have to stop this racism now or this is probably going to be the cause of world war 4 .

Some people thought that after Martin Luther King Junior racism ended but no we could clearly see that racism has not ended. So when are we going to end racism? And If this goes for a lot of time we might cause world war 4 and I know no one wants that because it will be so terrible. Would you like to end racism?

PS/IS 192 Hasnat ChaudharyClass 6-504 December 4, 2020Did you know that one out of ten dogs will not find a permanent home?.This tells me that dogs are not being treated properly. That means there are going to be more dogs that have no owners and they are going to be more dogs with no shelter. This tells me that we are treating dogs like toys. This is called animal abandonment. Animal abandonment means leaving behind an animal alone or letting the animal to be abandoned in conditions which might cause harm to the animal.I want this topic to be more searched up on the internet and be more known by more people.I will tell you about Faye Carey and Camryn Thomson. Activists are people who help the community by solving problems in the community. Teen activists who work directly with animals set up shelters for them, volunteer at shelters, and spent a lot of time helping to find permanent homes for the abandoned animals. One teen activist is, Faye Carey. Faye Carey volunteers at animal pounds and spreads the word about animal abandonment. One detail from (title) is“where she advertises puppies and dogs who need adopting.”This makes me think that she is a good person and obviously wants to help the animals. Another detail from the text iis“This takes a lot of the heat off the pound for us trying to get these dogs into homes," says Animal Control officer Vaughan Oliver. This means that Faye takes some of the pressure of finding homes for the animals off of the workers. "The good thing about it is Faye takes time to present our dogs in the best possible light.” This shows me that you should help you make a difference for animals who abandoned too. . Activists are people who help the community by solving problems in the community.Teen activists who work directly with animals set up shelters for them, volunteer at shelters, and spend a lot of time helping to find permanent homes for the abandoned animals. One teen activist is Camryn Thomson, 17 years old .Camryn Thomson, help animals that are abandoned and animals that are in danger. One detail is“Thomson was recognized for her enthusiasm for being animal-friendly,”This shows me that Thomson is nice to animal or good with animals.Another detail is“Thomson said she became concerned about animal welfare at an early age, beginning at 9 when she began to wonder what happened to pigs before they became food.”This shows me any one can be an animal activist. This also shows me that Thomson cares about animals. This tells me that if you help you make a difference. You might save hundreds or even thousands of lives. This also tells me hundreds of animals are being killed and abandoned every day.We can avoid this by giving the animals to other people. We can also avoid this by giving the animals to a pound. This shows me that we can avoid killing animals lives.

Dear Juan, I totally agree with you, animal abandonment should be against the law. I like how you started your introduction with a question, engaging the reader with a hook.
