         <description><![CDATA[<p>What are Modal Verbs?</p><p>Modal verbs are a special type of auxiliary verbs used to express various grammatical functions and nuances of meaning in a sentence. These functions include ability, possibility, permission, obligation, advice, and others. Modal verbs do not conjugate or change form based on the subject and are always followed by a base verb (infinitive without "to").</p>]]></description>
