Though tearing down the symbols of racism in our country is somewhat helping, the activists aren't looking at the big issue we are trying to tear down which is Systematic Racism but, given how big this issue is people have always chosen to tiptoe around it.
Evidence:
- The large group of (majorly white) people tearing down the "OLD" statue instead of seeing the POC pointing at the bigger statue that resembles Systematic Racism
- Tearing down OLD racist history rather than tackling the present issue (systematic racism)

The artist of this piece argues that people are willing to acknowledge America's past issues regarding racism but fail to bring the same amount of attention to the racism still embedded in society today. People are eager to claim that American has learned from its racist actions when in reality racism is still present as seen by the few people that are pointing at the block labeled "Systemic Racism". People focus on the past but fail to acknowledge that racism still continues today but is only accepted by a few.

Evidence: The block labeled "systemic racism" is bigger than the statue labeled "old racist history" which indicates that racism is still present and still a pressing matter.
-There are only a few people acknowledging and pointing at the "systemic racism" block while more people are concerned with tearing down American's "old racist history" .

In this image the artist choses to argue that social media is a distraction to important and personal things in life such as quality time with loved ones and the nature around them.
Evidence: In the image the artist shows how a boy is being distracted by being on social media such as twitter while the girl is enjoying her time with nature. The girl who choses to turn her attention to nature sees an actual bird who is singing which can be seen as symbolism to counter twitter since it uses phrases like "a tweet" when the real tweet is in the real world.

In this political image, the artist is displaying how racism is in the roots of American history, which affects how racism is today. Now, that the BLM Movement is happening and people are protesting, people are assuming that if you're protesting racism, you are protesting America because racism is so American that you cannot make it up. The founding of this country was Europeans forcing millions of people to move from their own land and force millions of enslaved Africans to work and suffer for hundreds of years. The dominant race forgets that this is stolen land, which demonstrates that racism continues to exist today and the fight gets more and more difficult.

Evidence:
*One group of people are focused and determined to take down a statue which represents someone in the past that had done damage in a racist way. Meanwhile, the second group of people are pointing at the bigger statue, which signifies the bigger issue that needs to be handled.

*While people are worried about the past and the figure that represents it, sadly the damage is done. But, there is still a chance to change and take down the systematic racist today before any more damage is done and people continue to be effected.

When analyzing this imagine, the artist wants their consumer to take into account perspective. Perspective allows us to create a new narrative with whatever we are handed, whether that be this image or a standard created by society. Essentially the artist encourages women to take the gender roles and narratives that are written for us by the patriarchy and rewrite them however we see fit.
-The artist takes the original symbol that indicates a female by using a dress. They then add a second symbol and redraw it so that the dress becomes a shirt and cape. This shows how perspective changes a narrative and can ultimately empower.
-The artist states that "it was never meant to be a dress", to show that women are much more than the feminine figures society lays out for us. It empowers the consumer to take the limits that they are given for their identity and bend them to how it best suits them.
