The teacher had some behavior issues with one of the students during transitions. To prevent the student from hitting other students during transitions she had the student be a “watcher”. The watcher would watch for things that they thought that were good during the transition and share it to the class quickly.

I really liked the management style that my teacher had. She had her kids well trained and her expectations were clear in her activities. Her activities were also super fun and engaging.

My teacher did the “hocus pocus…everybody focus” during the weeks in October. I thought that was fun!

I loved that my teacher would get the students attention by saying "snap, crackle, pop" and the students would say "everybody stop"

I thought it was a cute and fun way to get their attention. It is also one that I hadn't ever heard before.

This teacher had a lot of students who would create their own books and bring them to class, and she always made time to give them a chance to read their book to the class. Afterward, she would display them for kids to look at again. I loved how supportive she was of their creativity.

My teacher was always so calm when students were acting out. I also loved how when a student had a hard time doing work, when they did it she would always tell them that she knew that was hard for them and that she was proud of them for trying their best

The students were divided into five groups and each were given a different pumpkin. They then had to count every single pumpkin seed inside the pumpkin. It was such a great way to practice counting, grouping, and it even sets them up for the future when they learn multiplication.

A strategy I liked that my cooperating teacher did was her attention getters. She had a lot of different ones for different times of the day. My favorite one she would say “tootsie roll” and the kids would say “lollipop, we were talking now let’s stop”

I liked how my teacher had all of her kids raise their hands when she rang the bell. This made it so all the kids were watching when she needed their attention!

I loved the conflict resolution strategy my teacher used. She would reinforce students communicating with each other by starting with “I don’t like it when ______. Please __________ instead.”
