         <description><![CDATA[<p>At the end of KG2, all pupils complete the phonics screener.</p><p><br/></p><p>After implementing the 'Little Wandle' phonics programme in 2023, we have seen a massive progression in children's phonics knowledge. In June 2025, we had a pass rate of 91%, which is a massive progression from 69% the previous year. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

The children win these awards based on which IB learner attribute they have been showcasing well in class that week. For example, if a child has shown they have been a Risk-Taker or they have been Reflective in class. We celebrate their achievements by putting the award winners on our PYP awards display in the KG2 corridor.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>At the end of KG2, all pupils complete the phonics screener.</p><p>In June 2025, we had a pass rate of 91%.</p><p>After implementing the 'Little Wandle' programme in 2023, we had a pass rate of 80% in June 2023.</p><p>In comparison to September 2024 where there were 3 groups working at Year 1/ KG2 level and 3 groups working at KG1 / Reception level, this year you can see that there are 2 groupings working in Year 1/KG2 phonics, and 4 groups still working at a KG1 / Reception level.</p>]]></description>
