In my own words:

Exploitation creates a hierarchy between social groups, where some groups receive benefits while the others don't

Class: Capitalists exploit the labor power of the working class by paying them less than what their products are worth, but because they need to be paid to live, they can't argue with their employers

Gender: The wage gap between men and women can be considered exploitation because they are both producing the same thing but not being paid the same. Women and girls are also disproportionately exploited through sex and human trafficking.

Race: Systematic racism marginalizes ethnic groups, this can lead to limited opportunities for these ethnic groups to become successful

Citizenship: People who don't have U.S citizenship face legal barriers and social stigma that limit their opportunities in education and the workforce

In exploitation, someone can be taken advantage of. In this situation they lose control of their labor power, resulting in powerlessness.

In marginalization, being excluded from the labor force expels someone from being able to participate in society and use their labor power, resulting in powerlessness.

Class: The idea that there is a working class and a middle class. Society created a division between what they consider professional workers and nonprofessionals, with privilege being for professionals only, this leads to powerlessness.

Gender: The pay gap between genders can lead to powerlessness.

Ability: People who are disabled are labeled as "bad" labor, so they're expelled from the workforce. They then are dependent on the government for money or other family, leaving them powerless.

Men are to think of their body as a tool to use to get what they want and women are to think of their bodies as a project they must work on to please others

Sexuality: Heteronormativity diminishes the identity of the LGBTQIA+ making them feel less than. It can even cause internalized homophobia or self-hate due to being alienated or witnessing treatment towards the LGBTQIA+

Ability: It is connected because disability and what is considered "good labor" is determined by Capitalists, who are the dominant group within capitalism. Some may develop the double consciousness and really believe that they can't work (maybe due to not being given opportunities) and stop trying.

Religion: In the U.S we are supposed to be accepting of all religions, but there are still certain stereotypes and biases towards certain religions. Because Christianity and Catholicism are the dominant group, there are more resources (Churches) for them to gather in. Other religions have less, creating this idea of who is more important. It can cause people to stop practicing their religion because there is a lack of a sense of community.

As a Trans man I started to look at myself at how white, cis, het, men would look at me, and find ways to hide parts of my identity that signaled me out to the dominant group.

Example: Rape is considered a women's problem rather than men's. Society puts the blame on women, justifying the violence, and causing other women to fear the potential of sexual violence.

Sexuality: Violence on the LGBTIA+

Example: Acts of violence on a gay/trans person can cause the rest of the community to fear violence. Society will blame them because they are "rubbing their sexuality" in their face. Some states also still have the Panic Law in action.

Race: Racial targeting and violence

Example: Police brutality on an African American. This can cause the rest of the community to fear the police. And because the police hold authority, they have the means of adjusting the narrative that the media receives, making their violence "acceptable".

Ability: Hate crimes on the disabled

Disabled homeless people are sometimes beaten up by teens. Because these people are looked down upon in cities, the violence is overlooked.
