Concave Hollow Earth

The concept of the earth being hollow with humans living on the inside of it, was first introduced by doctor Cyrus Reed, and was supported by others after him as well. A group of his followers claimed to have verified the concavity of the earth's curvature in order to prove this theory.

How it seems to be Scientific

Supporters of this theory used complex concepts such as how light bends in a circular motion, and how no light can reach the center of the earth, proving that it is concave and hollow. They also related this to the concept that the entire universe is hollow and concave as well.

There is no proper evidence to support any of these claims, and it would also be difficult to simplify the explanations of them. There is however evidence against this theory, such as being able to view the stars and the moon and all the other things in the sky, which immediately disproves the theory.

This theory was not popular because of the significant amount of evidence there was to disprove it, and how outlandish the theory seemed to be.

Why do so many people believe pseudosciences

This is because pseudosciences can often be very interesting, and can give the illusion of revealing something, that people wouldn't have otherwise known. many people also want pseudosciences to be true, which is why they are more likely to believe in them, and why they ended up being so popular.
