This meal is very salty and strong smelling and can be kept for months if the dish is prepared in the right way. However, the dialects are not mutually unintelligible and Malay as well as English are also used. The word Bidayuh in itself literally means "land people" in Biatah dialect. In Bau-Jagoi/Singai dialect, the pronunciation is "Bidoyoh" which also carry the same meaning.</div>]]></description>
