Students have the right to express one's self, but if they are hanging posters everywhere saying " Everyone dies" then heck no. If they are minding their own business and not bothering or hurting others, then its fine . If they are moping and telling anyone who listens their sop story about how their do died, why do we want to know that. that would make us uncomfortable or sad. That's inappropriate. Tell the people who can help. Not the ones that might heckle or make fun of you for it.

If schools always prevent students from doing bad things around campus, why would they just let them publish whatever they want on a newspaper that all the students could see and read.

Teacher led prayers can sway the students opinion on choice of religion because of their impact on their students, and it could cause the student to feel uncomfortable. If a led prayer is organized, directed, and encouraged it is a violation. However in some schools like CHJS, we have a Christian Club which is religiously based.

One of my "friends" decided he wanted to stab a kid with a knife he snuck into school. He showed me and told me everything. So I ran to the soon to be victim and told him to hide from my "friend''. I ran into the office and got help. The police showed up and searched him for the knife. He threw it away. I think it was important to address that situation and search him. If he had gotten away with it then things would have gotten hurt. Now unreasonably searching is bad. It is inappropriate. It depends on if its reasonable.

A juvenile's death sentence does not violate the 8th Amendment. There are only certain times when you can get a death sentence, and those are very serious scenarios of 1st degree murder. All juveniles should be informed of their possible death sentence, and minors do have the ability of determining right and wrong. Murder is still murder no matter what age you are. If kids are so overwhelmed to become unstable to kill, there is no way to ensure that the minor will not kill or harm others.

No a juvenile's death sentence does not violate the 8th amendment. However there are many innocent people on death row, if it was truly a heinous crime then they should be tried as an adult. Sometimes minors act out in response to only knowing a life of violence, if you put that person on death row it just adds one more act of violence to his/her life. That means all they know in life is violence and their life is ending in violence. I think that the death penalty for minors is tricky because you never truly know if the minor in question knew if the crime they committed was wrong.
