He grew up at Northampton Massachusetts and attended Harvard. He graduated from Harvard and became governor. He had many jobs throughout his life including local missionary, lawyer, and public security interests. He did not serve in the constitutional army because of his damaged sight.  He did sign the declaration of independence and attend the constitutional convention. Although he did all that he was not a president of the United States in the development of the USA.He married Sarah Strong and had 9 children. Caleb 
Strong played an influential role constitution. Caleb also played a leading role in the passage of the Judiciary Act of 1789.
