Ancient Egyptian's temples were an important part of everyday society. They were believed to be the home of the god or goddesses. The temples were also built with stone which can make them last for a long period of time. The priests and pharaohs would have the chance to go into the temples and worship the gods. No other social class had the privilege to but them to talk with the gods. This religion also is different from the religions today. An example of this is in our religion today, people in the U.S.A have the freedom to choose which religion and culture that they believe in. Also, there are many different types of religions where as in Ancient Egypt everyone believed in the same religion.

Mummification played an important part in the Ancient Egyptian's believes. It was important to persevere the body in order to live in the "afterlife." The afterlife was something that Egyptian's believed that after someone passed away they would go to the after life. As a result, they would do mummification on the body and give the human all the resources they needed in order to servive in the afterlife. For mummification, they would take out the liver, lungs, stomach, and intenises. They would also continue the process by wrapping the body creating a common word used today, "mummy." This is similar and different from our world today. In the world today, people have all different religious believes about what happens after someone passes away. Therefore, there is so many different ways that people preserve or take care of the body for what happens after someone passes away.

Polytheistic was the religion that Ancient Egypt was a part of. This religion believed in multiple (many) gods. They also believed that nature and other aspects of life had to do with the gods. Some of the main gods known today in Ancient Egypt were Ra, Anubis, Seth, Osiris, Isis, and Horus. They all did different things in order to keep Egypt in "shape." Egyptians also believed so strongly in these types of gods that they made animal sacrifices and much more! Also, the people of Egypt had many possessions to have the gods with them and would take them where ever they went! In their religion, they also believed that they had to do many good deeds in order to survive in the afterlife.
