https://news.asu.edu/20210112-study-conflict-between-divorced-parents-can-lead-mental-health-problems-children

Conflicts between parents can definitely cause stress to a child who is younger and sometimes the child can begin to think of that kind of behavior to be some form of normal. A lot of the fear stems from a fear of abandonment, by one or both of their parents. Overall in a child (young) to an adult that fear of abandonment becomes deeper rooted in them as they get older and has an affect on their overall mental health and creates an illogical fear of being abandoned.

http://marripedia.org/effects_of_divorce_on_children_s_education

Children try to understand things like divorce and this can be very confusing for a child of a young age. This may cause the child to become distracted while trying to comprehend or understand what is going on at home, which causes a form of distraction for a younger child. Children also have difficulty adjusting to home life and school life and it causes anxiety and stress in younger-older children. Children with divorced parents often have to adjust to things that others without divorced parents would not necessarily have to. It leaves for a lot of room to cause confusion and stress when having to balance New living situations, schools (possibly), friends, schoolwork, and family dynamics.

Children who's parents are divorced are more likely to have a lower GPA and be held back a year due to social and mental ineptitude arising directly as a correlation to divorce and its impacts on children's ability to focus and concentrate.

Daniel Potter from the university of Virginia found that the statistics are there elementary children who's parents are divorced almost immediately have a drop in academic performance in school and begin to decline in many aspects of their social life.

children with divorced parents in elementary school are seen to perform 11% lower than children with intact families and is a direct correlation to divorce and the student's GPA.
