Khadijah faced many challenges besides being homeless. One of her challenges is having to move from place to place even when she was doing good in school. Another challenge she faced was having to wake up at 4:30 A.M and take three buses to get to her first class. Some things that make her extraordinary are her actions and it shows her passion for school. Another thing that makes her extraordinary is the dedication she had to go study in the bathroom and going to school every day she can even if she had to wake up super early and take three buses. These are the challenges she had besides being homeless and what made her extraordinary.

Khadijah faced many challenges besides homelessness. One challenge she faced is having to sleep from shelter to shelter and there from different homeless people. According to the text, it states, " By the time Khadijah was in high school she'd been to more than half a dozen schools." That quote means Khadijah was moving from place to place. Also, up at 4:30 in the morning and taking 3 different buses to get to school. According to the text it, " The school she had to wake up at 4:30 A.M and take different buses to make it to her first class." It makes her extraordinary is that I do not know how someone can take 3 buses in the morning to go to school and her class starts at 4:30.
That is some challenge Khadijah faced besides being homeless.

The challenges Khadijah faced besides homelessness is that she didn't want people to know that she was homeless. So she had to make excuses. In Khadijah junior year she had to wake up at 4:30 am and take three buses to go to school because her shelter was so faraway from the school. In the text it states, "Among the residents of the shelters Khadijah became known as the girl who was trying to make something of herself. Not everyone was supportive. "some people would say. 'What makes you think you're so special?" This quote shows that Khadijah wanted to make herself known not because she was homeless because she wanted to be known so she her mom proud and have a better life. Khadijah is extraordinary because In the text it states, "Khadijah recalls the time in third grade when she tested in the 99th percentile on a standardized: "The school was like. "Oh the is probably a mistake." They didn't really think it was possible for me to get that high a score." this shows that the teacher didn't really have faith in Khadijah because she was homeless. This was some of the challenges that Khadijah faced in her life.

The challenge Khadijah face besides homelessness is that she was falling behind in two grades because she was absent and moved many places. One thing that make her extraordinary is that she scored a ninety-nine percent on a standardized test in the third grade. According to the text'' then lost it when she moved and her records were misplaced. She was absent so often, sometimes for months at a time, that she was marked as truant, and fell two grades behind.'' This quote shows that she was absent in school for months after moving that caused her to repeat a grade. According to the text'' Khadijah recalls the time in third grade when she tested in the 99 percentile on a standardized test: The school was like. Oh, this is probably a mistake. They didn't really think it was possible for me to get that high a score.'' This quote shows that the school couldn't believe she can scored the highest on the standardized test at a young age. Overall, this shows The challenge Khadijah face besides homelessness and one thing that make her extraordinary.

This quote shows it was hard for her to get to school " According to the text it also states " In high school there were times i couldn't get my papers on time because my textbooks would get stolen" this quote shows she couldn't do so well in school because the homeless people in the shelter would steal her textbooks . Also the thing that makes her extraordinary is her having a positive mind and push through to get out of a hard situation.

Some other challenges that Khadijah faced besides homelessness is the fact that she was always moving from different homeless shelters. Khadija is extraordinary because even though she was homeless she had never stopped trying and working hard. The text states "by the time Khadija was reached high school she'd been to more than half a dozen schools." This quote shows that since Khadija was always moving she could never stay in a school for too long so she can never make friends and she was also missing classes and even though she wasn't in class she still had to take the tests that would determine if she moves to the next grade. The text also states "she was granted gifted status while at on school but then we moved and her records were misplaced." This shows that since she moved many times her schools couldn't keep track of her records so her gifted status was taken away and she was moved a couple grades back. This is another challenge that Khadijah faced other than being homeless.

Some other challenges that Khadijah faced was she had uncomfortable time during school. When the students ask her to go to her home, she was embarrassed and nervous, because she didn't even have a complete home. The next challenge is that they didn't have much money to keep their little apartment. As the text states in p7 "There are many times that I couldn't go to classes because we were moving around so much." This proves what I said. And the sentence "who missed her ENTIRE first grade year. Sometimes I would cry about it." This sentence shows how sad and disappointed she was. The only thing made Khadijah extraordinary is that she works really hard although she is a homeless. Everyone knows that homeless is poor, they live in poverty, is impossible for a homeless to go to college. But she did it, she faced all of this.

Some of the challenges that Khadijah faces in the text "A Homeless Girl's Dream" besides homelessness is that she kept on moving to different facility's. Khadijah is extraordinary because a lot of people doubted her then she never doubted herself. So her mom told her that she believed in her. She didn't give up. In the text "A homeless Girl's Dream" by Jeannine Amber" it states " For years, the family shuttled from one facility to another, in and around Los Angeles." This quote shows that over the years she moved to many facility's in Los Angeles, but she's lived in other states also, for example San Diego, Orange County, Santa Ana, San Pendro, San Bernardino, Vertura County.

In the story it states "She credits her mother who she notes is still struggling with homelessness, for setting the foundation for her achievements". This quote means she still struggles but pushes through to succeed. Khadijah is a powerful female. She had many challenges and faced them, another quote I found is "Instead of hiding her homelessnes during college interviews she did as her advisers had encouraged. This means she isn't ashamed of her homelessness.

She also had to wake up at 4:30 in the morning and take 3 buses to get to her very far school. Also, in paragraph three, it states " For years the family shuttled from one facility to another, in and around Los Angeles 'I've lived in San Diego, Orange County, San Bernardino, Santa Ana, Ventura County, San Pedro'. she rattles off." As a result of this, Khadijah also had to move from schools to schools as well. It also did not help that she was the oldest girl in the school and her shelters.

The challenges that Khadijah faced besides homelessness is how others will view her as homeless person. To start off it states "For me it was like, if I told anyone at school was homeless then I would have to admit to myself what was really going on. I had to disconnect from that reality in order to focus on my goal." This quote states that if she stated that she was homeless she will have to disconnect in order to focus on her goal, and being homeless and going to school is already hard enough. Furthermore it states, " She pauses frequently as she speaks about her childhood" This quote states she has trouble speaking on her childhood because of what she had to do. Overall this shows why one of her challenges how others will view her as homeless person.

Khadijah faced many challenges besides homelessness. One challenge she faced is having to sleep from shelter to shelter
