This movie isn't a typical horror film. "A Cure for Wellness" is terrifying with shots cause dislike and created atmosphere. The director is Gore Verbinski. Movies like "Pirates of the Caribbean Sea", "The Ring" were created by him.
The main character whose name is Lockhart is played by Dane DeHaam. Hannah is played by Mia Goth, and Dr. Voolmer is played by Jason Isaacs.
A young employee goes to Wellness center, which lost in the Swiss Alps to bring back the director of his company. But when he arrived, he realized that the Spa's treatments aren't what they seem. While main character starts to unravel this terrible secrets of this place, his sanity passes a real test of strength. It seems that now he's suffering from strange illness.
In my opinion< the film is really good because of its atmosphere and also I like watching movies like this, because they always keep you in toe
I can also say that some people may not like it because of blood and violence.
Would I recommended this film? Yes, if you like unusual horrors as I do! " A Cure for Wellness" is a good film for watching and further thinking.

the TRUMAN show

1998 American science fiction comedy-drama film directed by Peter Weir. As we can see, this movie is not limited to one genre, while watching you will feel the whole spectrum of emotions.

The story tells us about Truman Burbank performed by Jim Carrey. This man adopted and raised by a corporation inside a simulated television show revolving around his life. The director of this TV show says that people are tired of the fake emotions of the actors and therefore he created this project. Truman's world is limited by a huge dome with fake sky, sun and weather. All the people he knows are fakes to, they are actors who do what the director wants. In the city where Truman lives, there are 50,000 cameras so not a single step of his goes unnoticed.

The TRUMAN show is a film for the seeming impossibility of which an important meaning is hidden, which you can only understand by watching it. I recommend to view.

WONDER

“WONDER” is a family drama, based on the R.J. Palacio novel of the same name, “Wonder”. It’s an open-hearted message movie you can't help but embrace.
Wonder is a touching and moving film about a 10 years old boy called August Pullman, who suffers with a rare facial disfigurement. He has loving parents and a sister Olivia. Up to this point, Auggie has been home schooled. But when he turns 10 years old, his parents decide to enrol him in a private boarding school where he begins in fifth grade.
The film is about how Auggie deals with going to school, and how the other children deal with him. It is interesting to see how different children react towards him, and how some are kinder towards him than others. Julian is the main school bully, and things do come to a head between Auggie and Julian one day.
There are some familiar figures here: the hip teacher who gives innovative assignments that just happen to coincide with the film’s theme, the mean rich kid who torments him alongside a posse of brutes, the shy girl who might become an unexpected friend.
The story is as much about their collective growth – their learning to look behind the surface – as Auggie’s maturing courage in facing the world.
I think there are lessons to be learned. Not only from Auggie, but also from the other students and teachers. People do learn to accept him for who he is. If you look beyond how someone looks, you can get to see the real person. I found this an inspiring and uplifting film to watch. It shows how people treat others who look different, and how children can be so different. Some seem to have more empathy than others. Julian, who plays the bully is so mean to Auggie, I found this hard to watch. My heart went out to him. I also felt for Via. She is, indeed, a very loving sister. But I also understood why she sometimes felt excluded from the family when Auggie was getting, and needed, more attention that she was. All in all, I found this very interesting to watch. I found it also taught me a lesson about humanity and the way we treat others. I really recommend it to you!

This original book was written by french teacher from England. And noone knew her name, before this book came out in 2006. And in 2013 the film directed by James Kent come out. She is named Diana Setterfield. Thirteenth Tale is gothic romance and seems to be a bit boring according it's name. But if you thought so, you were wrong! To be honest, I won't recomend you this film, but you must read this book, unless you want you life pass without anything interesting in it.
Book starts with description of Margaret, one of the main characters. She live with her father in book shop and can't imagine life without books. One evening she receive a letter from worldfamous writter Miss Winter.(Who is about 70 years old) A lot of reporters asked her to tell her biography, but she always lies them. In end Miss Winter asked Margaret to write her story, but true story. Young woman was shoked , so she came to Winters` house. Winter told her a life of her crasy mother and father and that she not one child in the family...she had a twin! They names are Andeline and Emeline. Her sister and she were strange girls they fired neighbours houses and stole babies... After they grew up and become normal, but suddenly Margaret understood that there weren't two twins , there were three of them...and somehow crasy Adeline dissappear in twins life...
This book is quite big, but it's fast_passed, full of mystery, all characters are well rounded and plot is gripping.
Read this book and you won't regret for sure! It is a worthwhile reading for anyone, who want to read smth unusual.

Review written by Maria Matveeva

Kalechyna-malechyna was written by Evgenya Necrasova. This book isn't as easy as you may think when you open it. I want to tell you about it

The story tells us about ten years old Kate. Her life isn't easy. She has problems literally everywhere and the only time she can be happy is when she prepares to sleep and looks at the spots on the ceiling and dreaming. But everything changes when she finds someone who is possibly responsible for most of her troubles.

The plot is mysterious and very gripping that makes this book impossible to put down. The main character unusually realistic that makes this book more original. To be honest, I find very dull that children in books are always happy and have no problems, so this story is a treasure for me. The ending is predictable but it's not a minus, because I don’t think that everything in the book should be a riddle for us. I really appreciate that the author was inspired by Russian mythology. I am also sure that this book is a good example of the genre of magical realism.

I thoroughly recommend you to read this book. Of course I cant say that this book is a must-read for everybody, but I believe that this can be support for those who had problems at a young age. Plus, why not just read a good work

This originally and exciting book was written by Ulian Semenov, who is very famous in our country for his novel. This book was written in 1969 after WW2 and tells us a story about soviet spy in Nazi Germany based on real events.

The story begins in the spring of 1945. At that time, the main character - von Stirlitz, who rose well enough in the hierarchy of ranks. He has managed to get close to some high-ranking people. His goal is to prevent Germany from winning the war. The plot has many small details and various factors that affect its development. It is quite well developed and very interesting. Reading a very detailed description of the characters, their character, appearance is very pleasant. There is nothing superfluous and at the same time a lot of different details. Which basically corresponds to the genre of the book. There are a lot of characters and all of them from the old woman to the Fuhrer will influence the development of an unpredictable plot. The story of the book directly continues the story of "Major Whirlwind" and goes into "Ordered to Survive". All 3 books form a complete and very exciting novel.

This book is ideal for those who have long been looking for interesting, detailed stories in which a important role is played by human thinking. The story may seem a little slow, but at the same time there are several events happening at once, so the book is suitable for those who love action. I recommend reading this book to everyone, but do not forget that it is 16+.

“A golden cloud’s night”
It’s an autobiographical novel by Soviet author Anatoliy Pristavkin. It’s his most well-known work which was filmed in 1989. In 1988 it won a national film award.
The book looks into the last year of Great Patriotic War. In the centre of the plot there are twin brothers Nick and Sasha. They are 11-year-old orphans who live in the orphanage in Moscow region. The headmaster of the orphanage is a heartless man who doesn’t take care of the children and doesn’t hesitate to steal the food from them. The children in the orphanage are starving.
I was incredibly impressed by the author’s description of the terrible famine from which everyone suffered from. Only a man who personally went through that experience could convey it so deeply. The main characters move to an orphanage in the Caucasus in search of better life. Hovever they are not doomed to ever find it. Sasha gets killed by a Chechen gang and Nick survives.
I definitely recommend this book to read. It shows us, well-fed people, the value of such basic and yet vital things as food, home, family, peace, safety. It makes us start appreciating it. Do read it!
