He says he should've kept running (should’ve never fallen in love) He's thinking about how their relationship used to be, and can’t forget the times they had together. 
 He says he painted the whole sky red-he did anything/ everything he could do for her- would be there for her through everything, but now he feels like he did her wrong.
He thought they were going to be together forever, talking about old memories. Says the money changed him. He regrets leaving her. He feels people only want him for his money not for him as an actual person and what he has to offer emotionally. People didn't like him when he was poor but now that he’s rich they all love him.
I’m gone, the end. He’s done with her. I feel like every new person he meets he’ll just be looking for her in them because all he wants was everything they used to be.

I feel like this is a large issue. Also, as he said in the song when he pulled up in the dubbed-out buggy that's when they loved him but before they used to think he was ugly and wouldn’t touch him. This is an issue with class, if you are in a larger class people want to use you for your money, but when you’re poor they act like you don’t exist.  He establishes this with the emotion he uses in his voice, and he shifts and talks about his past to show how much he’s been through.  He says he painted the whole sky red for her. He shows how he would’ve done anything for her in this song.
