         <description><![CDATA[<p>In your row groups, you will need to work together to paraphrase the first ten amendments to the US Constitution - also known as the Bill of Rights. </p><p><br/></p><p>You will find the amendments on pages 47-48 in your SpringBoard textbook. Using the graphic organizer Ms. E handed out (pictured above), you and your group will paraphrase each amendment and write them in the provided bubbles. Then, you will answer the two questions in the middle of the organizer, which are as follows: </p><p><br/></p><p>1.) What is the author's purpose for writing this document?</p><p>2.) Who was the intended audience for the Bill of Rights?</p><p><br/></p><p>Once you have finished your work, make sure all group members names are on your paper, and turn it into your class tray on Ms. E's desk.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>For this assignment, you will need to read and analyze the speech “Address on the Occasion of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty” by former President Franklin D. Roosevelt. You can find the speech on pages 55-56 in your SpringBoard textbook.
