Thoughts:
At that time, there was no leader/prime minister, so that must mean that everyone was at high risk and it was very dangerous

In 1778 it would have been extremely hard looking for land because in that time there was no fancy or modern boats that could handle extremely windy and thunderstrom weather.

It would have been mostly grassland and dirt land because there was no building at that time
