This not only affects the health of the ecosystem, but it also affects human health where anemia, cancer, and immunocompromise are known consequences of radiation poisoning. So if the US were to join in on the war radiation will increase because more military activity would take place near Chernobyl causing more harm to a conflict that has already caused so much tragedy.
