2.       WERE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT FULFILLED?
I am very happy that my objectives are fulfilled. I have now gained a new skill which is baking goods such as cakes and cookies. In the span of 4 weeks, I have learned to bake 10 different types of cakes and cookies and some of the ways in order to make the cake and cookies taste better. Throughout this project, I have learned a lot of new skills, tips and secrets in order to bake goods that I wished for in a much easier way and certainly with the help of yuppiechef from ude.my course platform. Besides that, with the knowledge and skills that I have acquired from this course, I can apply them in baking cakes and cookies for my loved ones on the special occasion such birthdays, anniversaries and so on.
 
3.       WHAT I ENJOYED THE MOST ABOUT THE PROJECT?
Looking back at my journey in this baking course, the part that that I have enjoyed the most is seeing my baking goods that turn out to be tasty and enjoyed by my family members. The whole process of waiting the cakes or cookies to be made also enjoyable since I take my own sweet time in measuring the ingredients and mix them up step by step according to phase. I do not have to rush out and that’s make me fall in love with baking. Sometimes, baking makes me feel good too especially after my family members tasted the cake because they appreciate my effort and that motivates me to do much more better for the next baking session.
 
4.       WHAT I FOUND CHALLENGING ABOUT THIS PROJECT?
The most challenging part of my project is preparation for the baking process. It was a struggle for me to get the ingredients and baking stuffs. I have to wait till the weekends to get my father’s help to get the baking items. Besides that, for the first few days into baking, I had problem with preparation for baking in terms of measuring ingredients and the ingredients itself. I made mistakes on how to measure the flour and sugar in my first two recipes and my confusion regarding differences between self-raising four and all purpose flour. But now, I am clearer on the differences and measuring the ingredients accurately before starting the baking process.
 
5.       WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED? (ANY PART OF THE PROJECT I FOUND HARD TO DO)
As I had stated before, I used to hate cooking and baking is far from my fetch. But after taking this online course from ude.my by yuppiechef, I have started to love baking and slowly acquired knowledge and skills in bakery. In past, I have burnt several cakes and cookies in the oven that made my mother angry those days. But after my online course, my mother let me use the oven and bake those awesome goods and she personally appreciate and valued my efforts too! Recently I have baked red velvet cake with cheese cream and it turn out great and I could not be any happier!
 
6.       WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED IN THIS PROJECT?
I should have tried on recipes other than cakes and cookies. For instances, I should make an attempt to bake pastries or doughnuts and many more. I was scared to try to make these bakery goods since I am new beginner and want to go on easy first. I do not want to the bakery result in failure thus I go on baby steps in bakery. Therefore, I promised to myself that I will try more challenging baking stuffs once I am confident and skilled in my basic tips and techniques in the bakery course.

2. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?

Yes, I would say. After learning so much over the previous four weeks, I even believe I have gained a lot. For me, the goal of taking this course is to be able to understand and speak Mandarin using straightforward terminology so that, despite my current level of proficiency, others can grasp what I'm trying to communicate. I am very satisfied with my current improvement.

3. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?

First of all, I would state that the lecturer who is teaching me is really good because of the manner she employs. It is both incredibly effective and enjoyable. In her first week of courses, for instance, she begins by discussing the pronunciation tones, and at the end of it, I can pronounce the word 90% accurately. She will also repeatedly say a new word so I can understand it and respond. It's a simple and free course. You can do it whenever you have free time. Additionally, the most of video lessons were recorded, making it incredibly simple and helpful to go back in time if I didn't understand something right away.

4. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)

The pronunciation is the portion that I find the most difficult, as I usually note in my reports. But after a lot of practises, I was able to conquer the obstacle. Second, I'd say I'm first hesitant to share what I've learnt with my Chinese friends since they might make fun of us if I pronounce it incorrectly and afterwards. But, they were not as I expected. In fact, they encouraged me more.

5. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)

For each lesson in this course, there will be a quiz. You can move on to the following lesson after successfully passing the quiz. You can't if it's not. But this course has some really intelligent advantages, including the ability to retake quizzes, which allow me to improvise if I'm not happy with my performance on the first try. The quiz also displays the student's level of knowledge and comprehension for each course. I gained a lot from the quiz in this course.


6. What can be improved in this project?

To make the class more engaging for learners, I would say they can improve by include more learning materials. Other than that, everything else is good.

2. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
As I approach the final week of this posting and as I have completed the course, yes the objectives were fulfilled. I have managed to polish my Korean Language skills even further for personal development, to complete a 6-week course in 4 weeks by enhancing time management skills, and to improve soft skills outside medical field for future use by learning a new language.

3. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
Personally, I have very well enjoyed the satisfaction of whenever I was prompted a question, I have managed to answer it correctly or at least similar to the right answer. It's the feeling of an achievement that is so sweet to taste. Another thing I enjoyed the most is the fact that this is an online course with pre-recorded videos that I can pause and play at my own convenience. It allows me to feel less stressful about learning and absorbing informations given by the professors.

4. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
Occasionally, I find it hard to perfect my pronunciation. As I listen and read silently, it seems like I could enunciate the words correctly but sometimes when I try to read aloud in a slightly fast pace, I tend to misread the words. 

5. What has really worked? ( any part of the project that you thought work well)
I have never scored below 80% for every given quiz after each lesson, which I feel really worked out well. I can also understand more of simple Korean terms such as for places and directions as I went through the weeks taking this course. It feels great to type faster in Korean alphabets now.

6. What can be improved in this project?
Maybe if I had the chance to save up money to subscribe for the full version of this course, then it would have been even more fun to see where I stand with shuffled questions of all 6 weeks' lesson. However, I am very satisfied with this project as it is because I have been doing something that I thoroughly enjoy the whole process of it. 2. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
Yes, definitely. I am happy that I was able to finish the tasks in 4 weeks. I am pleased to say I can now communicate in simple Mandarin words and phrases.

3. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
The thing that I enjoyed the most is every time i did well on a quiz for each week. I believe that the time I invested in watching the video lecture, taking notes and using repetition to help me recall the terms was entirely worthwhile. Every time I finished a class with fresh information in my head, I felt satisfied.

4. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
The challenging part for me was coming up with lines in Mandarin. This is due to some word arrangements and grammar being dissimilar from english and malay. For instance in english we ask ‘what sports do you like?’
whereas there is slight differences in mandarin which is ‘ni xihuan shenme yundong?’ equivalent to ‘you like what sport?’. Other than that, I was struggling with pronunciation because it took a lot of effort, but through time, I am becoming more comfortable with Chinese pronunciation.

5. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)
The video lecture helped me a lot. Even though the duration is less than 5 minutes, it is packed with information. Amazingly, the instructor repeated each word twice so that we could understand it clearly. In order for us to constantly remember the words, the instructor also provided examples that she had previously taught us.

6. What can be improved in this project?
In my opinion, this project can be improved by having a two-way interaction between the student and the assessor. In addition to the supplied quizzes, the assessor can evaluate the student’s pronunciation to ensure that they are pronouncing the words correctly.

2. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?

Yes, I think so. For the first 2 weeks, I think I am quite capable to reach the objectives given which is mainly to read and write Hangul and introduce ourselves. It was quite easy to understand, however, the level of difficulty for the last 2 weeks has been challenging for me. However, I think that learning new language naturally will be difficult, so I do not blame myself for that. For me, to know if I really achieve the lesson  objectives is by answering the quizzes. Fortunately I did passed all of them so I think for a beginner like me, I did quite well and does meets the lesson target.

3. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?

What I like the most about the project is, I can read Hangul now! In the first week of learning, I can already read and write Hangul.  Thus, whenever I am watching a Korean drama or TV shows, I feel satisfied that I can read the subtitles or the captions.  I also like it because there are quizzes after each lessons, so I can test my knowledge and improve what I can. It is fun to answer them too and knowing my grade. Overall, this online course is not stressful as the teacher, Prof Seung Hee Kang is able to manage this course that suitable for a beginner like me.

4. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)

For me, the most difficult part of learning Korean language is the grammar. I could understand how to make sentences and I could remember the vocabulary, however learning the grammar mainly on how to end some words such as for person or times, are quite challenging. Since this is an online class and the lesson video is prerecorded, thus I can repeat the video whenever I cannot understand them. At last I did understand the grammar however for now it is still confusing, but I believe practice makes perfect so I just have to keep on practicing reading and speaking Korean language.

5. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)

I think answering quizzes is a good way to ends every lessons. It lets me know my knowledge level, and also a great way to established a two-way teaching-learning. For me, in the forth week, I did failed once in the test which is about working and time. It was quite challenging to me, however we can retake the test whenever we are ready as I do have to succeed to continue the lesson. Thus I revisit the lesson video t understand and retake the test and passed. Thus I think the quizzes really worked to enhance my knowledge.

6. What can be improved in this project?

I think it will be better if I could join the class face to face as learning online still make me confuse if I pronounce the language right, but I have to use up my own money then for that. Yes, I’m thrilled to say I’ve successfully fulfilled the objective of my Mandarin First Aid elective posting.

2. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
I enjoyed getting to acquire the new knowledge and skill that I actually wanted to do for a very long time but could not manage to do due to some issues like time management and being busy with medical school. The elective posting gave me a chance to finish my Mandarin course in 4 weeks is actually so exciting, and the fact that I will be able to use some mandarin words when talking to uncles and aunties in the ward could not be better.

3. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
To be completely honest, I find Chinese numbers to be quite difficult. Since the lesson initially simply covered counting numbers, I was initially able to handle it. The class levelled up each week to include learning how to speak time, money, and many other words, which confuses me in some strange way. But after much practise and effort, I was able to say it without any issues. Not only that, but I still have some trouble mastering Mandarin pronunciation. However, I think that if I keep trying and have the fundamental information, things will eventually become simpler.
4. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)
I think the test or exam part in the Mandarin course that I enroll really helpful and worked in improving my memory and strengthening my confidence. 

5. What can be improved in this project?
I think I can make this project better if I have additional Mandarin learning resources. I found all of the Coursera materials to be satisfactory. Perhaps I should spend my money or additional time making flash cards to make the learning process much more enjoyable.

2. Were the objectives of the project full-filled?
Yes, of course ! All of the objectives that I want which are stated on my application form are achieved. I am now able to read, write and speak korean. I am now also able to understand basic korean daily conversation.

3. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project ?
I enjoyed the lectures given by Prof Seo Hae Kang very much as it is easy to understand. The lectures were short but filled with a lot of information involved some interaction where she will ask us to pronounce the Korean sentences together.

4. What have you found challenging about this project ? (any part of the project you found hard to do?)
The most challenging part of this project for me is to write korean alphabets. All of these are different for each words formed so I need to remember all basic alphabets first then proceed with the hundreds of additional alphabets.

5. What has really worked ? (any part in the project that you thought worked well?)
The notes given during each chapter of the week help me a lot as I could easily visualize how to write the alphabets as well as pronouce it better. It also allow me to revise back what had been taught in the lectures and there is also some practices in it.

6. What can be improved in this project ?
Things that could be improved is that I could find more friends who are also learn or speak Korean to make it easier for me to practise speaking korean in a daily basis.

1. Yes the objectives of the project is fulfilled. I have mastered the right and left hand techniques and primary chord progressions according to scales.

2. I enjoyed attending the classes as everytime i attend i get a lot of new knowledge. I also enjoy the moment when i finally mastered some scales and chords. Its very satisfying.

3. The hard part of the project is practicing and having my fingers adapt to the guitar fretboards. I get a lot of finger callous and sore fingertips due to long hours of practice.

4. I managed to learn how to play by ear for the chords, and im able to sync my feelings to the notes.

5. The transition between the notes and the chords can be improved for smoother playing, which requires a lot more practices.

Yes, I do believe my objectives are fulfilled. My main objectives were to play basic basic guitar chords and as well as to learn a new skill throughout my elective posting. As of now I am quite fluent in playing my basic guitar chords. In fact, I had learned to play a basic song in my final week of my guitar class.

2. What have you enjoyed of liked the most about the project?
What I really enjoyed about this project was the fact that how challenging it can be for me to play a classical guitar. To be honest when I first decided to learn guitar, I had a thought that it will not hard and I was even overconfident that I would be able to play the basic chords fluently in two weeks of time. But in reality, it took more than a week for me to hold the guitar at the correct position. I then finally realized how difficult can it be to learn guitar for someone who has zero knowledge in it. Well at least I found it difficult for the first two weeks. However, once I got it right, I enjoyed playing it and was even excited to learn new chords and the more difficult chords in order to enhance my guitar skills.

3. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
Like I had mentioned before, I found the positioning of the guitar was the hard part of me compared to playing the chords. I did not really realized that how much the positioning can affect the guitar playing as it becomes difficult to play the chords if the positioning was wrong. 

4. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)
I think learning the guitar tablature has really helped me a lot. In the beginning, I never knew on how understanding the tablature can really produce a better outcome when playing the guitar.

5. What can be improved in this project?
I think the my tempo can be improved. 1. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled ?
Yes, the objectives of the project has been fulfilled. I learned a lot of things working in the food and beverage industry as well as relating it to medical field even in a short period of time. Both of these fields focus on delivering their service well by maintaining the quality. I also learned that a chef's job is not that easy as i thought because they worked really hard to ensure the quality of food and beverage they prepared. 

2. What have you enjoyed or liked most about the project ?
What I really enjoyed the most is when any chef taught me any new skills and I could apply it in the kitchen. They were really humble and patient in teaching me. 

3. What have you found challenging about this project ?
The challenging part about this project is the long working hours but I managed to adapt with it. Other than that, it was a bit tough in the beginning to finish the task according to the time given by the chefs. 

4. What has really worked ?
This project has worked out pretty well as I am able to learn and pick up all the new skills in the kitchen which I can practice at home. 

5. What can be improved in this project ?
There was not much to be improved in this project as everything went well. The part that I like the most will be the way on how the lecturer give class. It was interesting and also able to attract my attention. I was able to learn a lot and master the knowledge learnt.

3. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)

The part that is challenging will be packed schedule in which there are many syllables to cover and there will be quiz along every week. It is challenging to study all and pass with a good grade. 

4. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)

My time managing skills in order to arrange the time wisely really works and help me a lot to balance between studying, sports and socialise.

5. What can be improved in this project?

 I can improve by searching more information about the knowledge I learnt in order to learn more about this interesting course.
